CATALOG DESCRIPTION
The course is designed to provide graduate students with an understanding of the strategic role of information systems in business and enterprise management and its integration in the strategic direction of the business based on a common vision. The strategic as well as supportive role that IS will provide is emphasized. The bias therefore will be on business issues. It will tackle the task of aligning the IS function with the business and discuss approaches or methodologies that may be taken to achieve this. Completion of all core courses At the end of the Course, the graduate students are expected to understand, appreciate and articulate the importance of: Aligning the information systems and technology strategies with business strategies Information systems and technology planning and implementation as an inherent component of business planning and development Keeping abreast of technology driven trends Addressing ethical and legal issues involved in information and technology management
