ABSA Elections Meeting

ABSAs Mission
ABSAs new undertaken mission consists of the following: Preserve the teachings of Islam as portrayed by the Holy Household of the Prophet (PBUH). Act as a spokesperson for all members ensuring their voices are heard by their university, student representatives, and the community. Provide students with religious, social and individual services to facilitate integration on campus. Promote the true image of Islam to Muslim and non-Muslim students alike by clearing ambiguities and misconceptions. Build bridges to enhance dialogue and collaboration between faiths and denominations. Mediate relations between university students and their community through social representation and volunteers programs.

The Positions

An important part of ABSAs organizational structure is our committed trustee group. The trustees are a group of previous executives who can provide expertise, advice, and a helping hand with any issue that may arise during the school year.

The President
Calls

for and directs the executive committee and contact with SFUO and representative of the the executive committee performance activities of all executives

record of all assets of ABSA and present

them when asked

between ABSA and all

ABSA executive committee

Elections are held every April for the coming school year Before the new executive team officially occupies their roles, they will: Have a sit down with the previous executives as well as the trustees to discuss administrative details, major events, and other important information. Be an essential part of the summer events so as to prepare them to take charge come September Be provided with necessary materials including a yearly plan, budget templates, etc
