Here, We gather to honor Veterans of War Again and again, throughout the ages; the Holy Gospel reminds humanity that no earthly leadership or nation can claim itself as an equal authority with God. All authority on earth has been taken up by God and rests in God. Yet, throughout humanities history; wars have been Initiated, declared and fought; often in Gods name. In war,Loss of human life continues to affect Generation after generation. It has been said: that In the moment that war ceases to be an option for Humanity; in that same moment; the freedom that God envisions for all persons; will be clearly Understood and this Sacred Freedom will Forever change the lives of all peoples, nations. In the Peace of God; Let us Pray: We pray that me may never cease to live out Christs command to love one another as God is loving us; regardless of political Positions, race or religion: Remove O God, All nations lust for power or greed. We pray that You O God, heal and renew this Nation and other nations divisive understanding Of Peace: Restore us O God and renew us to The meaning of Peace as you would have us And the world understand Peace. We pray that You, Comforter of Souls, Comfort all the living who mourn the death Of a cherished one in war. We pray for all those unintended casualties of War: babies, children, families, peacekeepers, Humanitarian workers, elderly and the innocent Ones. We pray for all those soldiers who died in the Experience of war: May they rest in Eternal Peace and Light. ( LIGHT FOR DEAD)

We pray, O God, that you heal and continue Restore all those who were wounded and scarred From the violence they experienced in wars past And present. We pray you to restore peace of mind to those Whose hearts, minds and memories are Visited by the haunting and terrifying images and reality Of war. We pray for those whose relationships, and dreams and Ability to work have been broken or lost through The wounds of war. We give thanks to those Women and men who offered their lives to war, Willingly or unwillingly, and put their dreams on Hold to attend to war. We pray for those who lovingly attend to the Wounds of war; Drs, nurses. We especially Give thanks to all those who serve at the local Veterans Hospital. We pray for all families as they move through their Days and years in the aching absence of a mother, father, son, daughter, uncle, aunt,Or friend who is at war today. We pray, O Most Holy God, for all those who will Today will receive notice that their loved one has Died in combat in Iraq. Today, O God of Peace, We give humble thanks for all those here in this Place, who survived the ravages of war and returned Home to build a life and live and love those whom They came back to. ( LIGHT FOR LIVING) As a symbol of Love and Light to those Veterans of War both living and dead: I invite You to come forward to honor them with a Candle of Light. ( SANDBOWL) I invite us to lift our arms in a posture of Great gratitude for those who have made A difference in the world by their service And sacrafice; ( LIFT ARMS)

Let us Close in a Spirit of Prayer: Holy and Loving God, Spirit of Light: As you guided peoples and nations in the Ancient worlds desire for peace and freedom; So you guide all peoples and nations here Today. We pray you to teach us how we may Cease to invest in war as an option: Grant that We may invest human lives in the unfinished and Sacred Work of Peace; Bless and Embrace O God all Active soldiers and veterans in your Light and Grace and Love: May we, their brothers and sisters Honor them always in a Spirit of profound And thankful respect. Alleluia! Amen! Go now in Peace, Love one another. Trust in God!
