IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS (IRR) IN THE CONDUCT OF 30 SECONDS TO FAME

GENERAL GUIDELINES This is open to all members of NFJPIA 2012-2013. Participant will choose a specific talent which he will perform. No changes of the chosen talent will be allowed after the initial performance. All participants must provide back-up music if needed and must be in their expected attire during the contest proper. This event will have three (3) rounds. Every round comes with time limits. The harder the round gets, the lesser time they have to impress the judges. 1st round 60 seconds 2nd round 45 seconds 50% of the number of participants in round 1 will proceed to round 2. 3rd round 30 seconds Top 5 or top 3.

This is an interschool competition, however a minimum of two (2) and maximum of five (5) entries per region will be allowed. Contestants must not be in the same Local Chapter. Entries could be performed individually, in duo or in group. Changing of contestants after the due date of submission of requirements and walk-in applicants will not be accepted. Winners will be honored in the awards night. Only top three (3) will be awarded. In case of any concerns, clarification, or protest which is not governed by this IRR, the chairman of the said competition shall have the absolute power to

decide on matters which deemed necessary to preserve and protect the integrity of the event. Her decision is final and non-appealable.

IRR 2.0

OBJECTIVES This event aims to enhance the skills of the NFJPIAns in their non-academic fields. It identifies personal talents, helps them feel better about themselves and motivates them to succeed.

REQUIREMENTS Soft and hard copies of application form must be filled out completely with decent pictures attached. Send the soft copy to nfjpia30vpnonacademics@yahoo.com on or before March 16, 2013 with the subject: region#-30secondstofame with the filename: <talent>-<name>. Hard copy must be submitted on the first day of the convention. Accompanying music or sound effects must be placed in a CD with region#/name. Photocopy of current Registration Card and Identification Card. Recommendation letter from the Regional Council President or the Regional Vice President for Non Academics.

GENERAL MECHANICS Contestants will be pre-numbered for easy identification. Contestants must meet the chairman of the event for drawing of lots on the first day of the convention proper. No personnel changes or substitutions will be permitted after the initial performance. Each act must perform live, vocally and/or instrumentally.

Each act must be in good taste. No music or lyrics that are considered offensive will be allowed. Use of props is allowed however, any considered hazardous weapon is strictly prohibited. Contestants may provide a copy of the lyrics for the judges with his entry form if he will perform his own music. Medium of expression/music can either be full English, full Filipino or both. Contestants are required to be present for each competition until they will be eliminated. In the event of a tie, the tie breaker shall be by secret vote of the judges based on overall performances. Judges decision is final and non -appealable.
