Action Plan for Category 5: Services are provided to students who have diverse learning abilities, styles and needs. Mason Creek Elementary scored proficient in this area. I think part of the problem is funding. Media center budgets are being cut and there is not enough money to serve all the needs of the media center. The first step is to identify the specific needs of the students at Mason Creek. Then we need to sit down as a committee and look at how the current resources meet the needs of the learners. Then the committee should identify the deficit areas in the media center and come up with a plan on how to meet the needs of all learners. Research based practices should be used to help in this area. Student data should also be used when determining the resources and activities that take place in the media center.
