This Migration project aims at converting the application from a DB2 based system to an Ingres based application in the Linux environment. Ingres was used as the front end tool, data base and also as report generating tool. The system is client server architecture, handles day-to-day transactions of business. The need of a transparency in the business required a robust system with a hierarchy of transactions in and out of the Business and hence, the reporting aspect spawns every module, which makes a multifaceted reporting system.
