Automated Content Provisioning System

LeapStone, USA 7 months (November 2004 May 2005) Developer 3 Java,JDBC, XML, Web Services,WSDL,BPEL (Business Process Execution Language), Bea Weblogic Server 8.1,Tomcat 5.0, Oracle 9i,Swings, Windows Xp

Description: Since Automated Content Provisioning System (ACPS) is based on JAVA (J2EE), it is platform independent and easy to implement. It can work on any platforms (Operating Systems). This project deals with taking different contents (i.e. pictures, ring tones, games etc.) from content providers, their testing, encoding, pricing and distributing to several customers. Thus there are five web services for performing these functions and BPEL based Orchestration Engine, which controls these web services. These web services are may be in any of languages but when they are orchestrated by the help of BPEL language, they worked together. These web services take input and output by the help of XML files. The Automated Content Provisioning System (ACPS) is a web services based framework for integrating third party content vendors (or providers), getting their content tested by external testing providers. Further the ACPS provides for packaging the content using digital right management (DRM) based pricing the content using external pricing agent and then distributing the content. In short, the ACPS is the hub of a hub & spoke architecture, where each of the above services acts like a spoke. ACPS acts like a weaver (coordinator) of multiple web services using a BPEL based orchestration engines. Responsibilities:

Involved in Requirement gathering , Analysis and Application development of the system Involved in the development and integration of modules using BPEL, Servlets, JSMS and Web Services. ANT tool is used to generate application server independent .ear file. Participated in code reviews. Involved in GUI development.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology

Leap Stone, USA 6 months (May 2004 to October 2004) Developer 3 Java,JDBC, XML, Web Services, WSDL, BPEL (Business Process Execution Language), Bea Web logic Server 8.1,Tomcat 5.0,Oracle 9i,Swings, Windows Xp

Description: RFID technology, in the domain of Automatic Identification (Auto-ID) and initiated by the Auto-ID center (now EPCglobal), has emerged in response to the need for a next generation bar code. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) has the potential to dramatically improve various industrial and service applications through automatic detection, unique identification, and control. RFID is expected to provide immense supply chain efficiencies, reduced labor costs, and accurate real-time resource information. RFID is fast, reliable, and does not require physical sight or contact between reader/scanner and the tagged item. Promoted by the EPCglobal standards organization in cooperation with the Uniform Code Council (UCC). RFID uses wireless technology operating with the 50 kHz to 2.5 GHz frequency range. Responsibilities:

Involved in Requirement gathering , Analysis and Application development of the system Involved in the development and integration of modules using BPEL, Servlets and Web Services.
