Peter J. Marathas, Jr., a partner with Proskauer. He is a nationally recognized expert on the Act and has spoken at seminars across the country on this topic. His business-like and engaging approach to the topic receives consistent praise by all. Mr. Marathas practices primarily in Massachusetts, where has advises employers on matters related to Massachusetts Universal Health Care law. Mr. Marathas uses his experience with the Massachusetts law to provide business-minded insight into how the Act will be administered and what employers can expect in terms of administrative and other responsibilities. Mr. Marathas will provide an up-to-the-minute clear and complete review of the latest guidance from the federal regulators and lead a practical discussion of what this all means to employers. Jim Napoli is a senior counsel who practices in Proskauers Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Napoli is the head of Proskauers nationally recognized Health Care Reform Task Force. He counsels employers on all aspects of their employee benefit programs and provides advice on matters affecting all types of benefits plans. Mr. Napoli recently served as counsel of record on an amicus brief filed with the United States Supreme Court on behalf of the American Benefits Council in the case decided in June which upheld the constitutionality of the Acts individual mandate. Mr. Napoli is an experienced presenter on the Act. He infuses his discussions with inside information he learns from the many discussions he has with Washingtons insiders, from regulators to lobbyists. Mr. Napoli lectures to DC-area and regional bar associations regarding various employee benefit matters and he has also addressed professional groups regarding employee benefit matters. He is the managing author of The New Health Care Reform Law -- What Employers Need to Know (A Q&A Guide), published by Thompson Publishing Group. Stacy Barrow hails from the Boston office of Proskauer. He is a member of his firms Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Group and its Health Care Reform Task Force. He uses a practical, business-focused approach to counsel his clients on complex employee benefits and executive compensation matters. His prior experience includes work as a compliance officer for an international insurance brokerage and risk management firm, and as an actuarial analyst for a Big 4 public accounting firm. Mr. Barrow uses this nonlegal experience when providing practical, business-minded advice to his clients. He has spoken to business groups across the country on all matters relating to employee benefits, including national Health Care Reform. He also has published numerous articles on employee benefits and National Health Care Reform matters. Mr. Barrow will provide an up-to-the-minute clear and complete review of the latest guidance from the federal regulators and lead a practical discussion of what this all means to employers. Lynda Noggle practices in Proskauers Washington, D.C. office, where she advises clients in all aspects of employee benefits law, including health care reform. Ms. Noggle is a member of Proskauers Health Care Reform Task Force. Since the passage of the Act in 2010, she has counseled countless employers across the country, helping them to comply with the Acts requirements and developing strategies for future compliance. A substantial portion of Ms. Noggles practice is devoted to the design, administration and compliance of tax-qualified retirement plans and health and welfare plans. Ms. Noggle is a frequent speaker on Health Care Reform. She is also a Contributing Editor of a nationally-circulated loose leaf publication published by Thompson Publishing Group, Mandated Health Benefits -- The COBRA Guide.
