It was not eventful. She did not see any guards when they went to Arizona, then were brought to Chicago.

C&I Lesson Plan Template Why did her parents choose to remain in the U.S. illegally? Reyna says growing up undocumented has meant living in limbo, what does the expression living in limbo mean? Why is having a social security number so important to Reyna? They wanted a better life. Back in Mexico they had very little money and had to choose before paying for their home or buying food. That she is only allowed half of the opportunities. She does not get the same things as citizens. She is in between. Having a social security number means that she can get financial aid to pay for school. You also need one to be hired for a job. If she does not have it she is not legal and will not be able to work in the field she is studying. People fear that immigrants will take their jobs. Some do not think its fair to reward those who did not come legally. She will not be a full member of American society. It would provide a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants that came as children, graduated high school, and have done at least 2 years of college or military service. There are 11 million undocumented immigrants in the country. Many of these people were brought as children and did not have a say in coming, but feel the U.S. is their home.

Why are some people upset that there are illegal immigrants? What does Reyna mean when she says shell be relegated to the margins? What is the importance of the The Dream Act?

According to the article, why is there a need for immigration reform?
