Balwant Persaud has been framed

by the Guyana Police and the

Government- Bulletin # 1
The police failed to conduct a proper investigation and were reckless and negligent
in the discharge of their duties. They hurriedly laid charges against Mr. Balwant
Persaud for false pretence and forgery without examining the documentation
provided to prove his innocence. These charges were laid maliciously to tarnish his
reputation and profession by “people from the top” according to a reliable police source.

False pretence for what? Forgery for what? Do they have the evidence to charge Mr. Persaud? The police just
listened to the words of the real fraudster, Alim Samad and charged him. How can Alim Samad say that Balwant
forged his signature when he signed in the presence of the victims? He had Agreements with the victims where both
parties signed. The victims have receipts from him which he signed. The police are coaching the victims to their
own detriment.

The police objective in collaboration with Alim Samad, the real con man and a certain Government politician was to
destroy Balwant’s image and profession because they think he was embarrassing the Government too much because
of the various refugee cases he won in Canada and his criticisms of the police in the past.

We want the Guyanese people and the world at large to know that an innocent man was maliciously charged by this
so called democratic government but justice will be given to Balwant by the Courts and God.

We are calling on the relevant authorities to launch an investigation or an inquiry into the roles played by a Minister
of the Government, a Legal Officer in the DPP Chambers, the Police and Alim Samad into these malicious charges
against Balwant Persaud.

Summary of Visa Fraud Committed By Alim Samad

1. Victims entered into contract and paid Balwant Persaud a deposit.

2. Balwant Persaud entered into written Agreement with Alim Samad and paid deposit to Alim Samad.
3. Victims terminated their Contracts with Balwant Persaud and authorized that moneys paid to Balwant
Persaud to be transferred to Alim Samad.
4. Alim Samad acknowledges moneys transferred to him in writing.
5. Victims entered into new Contracts with Alim Samad.
6. Alim Samad subsequently received and acknowledged further sums of money from the victims after the
victims terminated their Contracts with Balwant Persaud.
7. Alim Samad failed to deliver his services as per Contract with victims.
8. Victims take legal action against Alim Samad in High Court for all moneys paid to Alim Samad.
9. Balwant Persaud is charged by the police and Alim Samad is FREE. Justice Guyana style.

It is time for the Police, the DPP and the Courts to show some respect for Contracts and Agreements and the
freedom to enter into Contracts and to Terminate Contracts between contracting parties.

What are the Legal Authorities in Guyana doing about this? The innocent must not pay for the guilty.
