The Free Education is designed to help easily find free online educational resources including audio/video lectures for academic courses, public lectures and events, and other educational materials. It is conceptually divided into three subsections: Audio/video Courses , Public Lectures and Events , and Learn Through Videos . The Audio/video Courses section is a collection of links to free audio/video lectures for academic courses from colleges and universities around the world. It is wellcategorized with academic subjects including biology, chemistry, computer science, economics, electronics and electrical engineering, history, literature, materials science, mathematics, physics, and psychology. The Public Lectures and Events section contains a list of links to websites providing free on-demand webcasts of public lectures, seminars and symposiums on current world issues, the latest discoveries in science and technology, humanities, and management. Unlike the Audio/video Courses section which provides information about audio/video lectures for students and professionals, the Learn Through Videos section brings a collection of links to educational videos such as documentary films and lecture videos, which are made for a general audience.

MIT OpenCourseWare is one of the largest web-based publications offering free education in the world. It publishes MIT course materials that reflect almost all the undergraduate and graduate subjects taught at MIT. Open Yale Courses offers free access to a selection of introductory courses taught at Yale University. The courses include the following subjects: astronomy, biomedical engineering, history, economics, English, philosophy, physics, political science, and psychology. UC Berkeley Webcast is a huge database of audio/video lectures for academic courses for on-demand viewing via the Internet. The courses cover a variety of subjects containing biology, computer science, electrical engineering, physics, political science, and psychology. Stanford Engineering Everywhere is offering free access to some of engineering courses in computer science and electrical engineering taught at Stanford University. Lecture videos, reading lists and other course handouts are available. NPTEL Courses provides free web-and-video-based educational materials for basic undergraduate science and engineering courses. The courses include biotechnology, civil engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, electronics and communication, and mechanical engineering. McGill Univ. COurses OnLine (COOL) offers free audio/video courses in chemistry, biology and computer science. It has been archiving courses and lectures since 2005. UCLA BruinCast offers some free audio/video lectures for certain undergraduate courses from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Open Learning Initiative | Harvard University Extension School brings free audio/video lectures on topics in computer science, English literature, history, and mathematics. Video & Audio | University of Cambridge offers free access to audio and video lectures from the University's institutions including the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences and the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy. Podcasts from the University of Oxford provides free access to certain course materials and audio/video lectures on a variety of subjects, including chemistry, engineering, humanities, life science, medical sciences, physics, and social sciences. YouTube - UHouston's Channel (University of Houston) contains lots of video lectures on various subjects: anthropology, chemistry, English literature, history, philosophy, and psychology. nanoHUB Courses contains free educational materials about nanotechnology. The courses cover the following subjects: nanoelectronics, NEMS/nanofluidics, nanomedicine/biology, and nanophotonics. Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) provides a large number of free video lectures on a variety of subjects in mathematics and mathematical sciences. CERN Document Server provides a huge collection of text documents and video lectures in particle physics and related areas.
