Science and Social Studies 2-2.1 Recall the basic needs of animals for energy, growth and protection. 2-2.4 Summarize the interdependence between animals and plants as sources of food and shelter. 2-2.5 Illustrate the various life cycles of animals.

Math 2.OA.1 Use addition and subtraction within 100 to solve one- and two-step word problems involving situations of adding to, taking from, putting together, taking apart, and comparing, with unknowns in all positions, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem. 2. During: SW complete a timed addition/subtraction quiz. To prepare for MAP testing students will participate in activities that focus on numbers and operations. After: SW respond to the math writing prompt independently.

MAP BLITZ
To prepare for MAP testing students will participate in activities that focus on data and probability.

Objective: SW count to find the value of coin collections. Before: SW practice the daily routine and quick practice. TSW review unit. SW complete chapter posttest. During: SW complete independent practice and partner activities to practice addition, subtraction and measurement. TW work with small groups 3 and 1. After: SW respond to the math writing prompt independently. Prompt: Explain how you will remember the definition of area.
