GRADING/ASSESSMENT
Item 1. Assessment Group Project Paper & Presentations Number 1 % each 20% 10% % total 30% Details 1. Students will work in a group of 4-5 members. Each group should ideally consist of members from different gender and race. Submit your group members name to me at the end of the first class meeting. 2. Once you have formed your group, set up a meeting as early as possible. I would suggest that during your first meeting, your group should: a. Validate the shared understanding of the project goals b. Discuss and agree on a presentation format (both for report and oral presentation). Creativity Encouraged!!!!! c. Identify and agree to a time line of tasks, deliverables and meetings d. Identify and agree to group communication (how often will you meet; where; how) e. Identify roles and responsibilities (define specific tasks). For example, select who should be the group leader or facilitator, transcriber, time keeper, meeting coordinator, researcher. Your group can also rotate the roles.

The assignment 1. Choose a video available in the internet (not more than 10 minutes) or you can develop your own. 2. Prepare a written report about OB theories and practices of the video of your choice. You can use any kind of resources to get your information (eg. website, newspaper, articles, interview, books etc). 3. Report Format: Maximum 10 pages, TNR, 1.5 spacing. Your report should contain: a. A brief description about the video itself (max 2 pages). b. Discussion of any of the following topics with regards to the video of your choice. Use theories and principles to explain your findings. i. Employees personality attributes ii. Management of diversity iii. Continuous learning iv. Innovation/creativity v. Motivation vi. Stress management vii. Teamwork/Collaboration viii. Leadership ix. Conflict management 4. Your group is required to show me the established project plan for getting your work done (what, who, when, how) by the third class

meeting. 5. Deadline: the final class meeting. 6. Your will also have to present your video and findings in the last class meeting. Each group will be given 20 minutes to present and everybody must be present. You have to prepare power point slides and submit together with your report. Be as creative as possible. 2. Individual Presentation/Participation 1 5% 5% 1. Oral Presentation: a. Each student is required to answer any question from the critical thinking discussion questions at the end of each chapter. b. Each student then is required to prepare a maximum of 3 slides for presentation. c. Each student will have 5 minutes for the presentation. 1. Will be announced in Class. 1. Class Meeting IV 1.
