1. INTRODUCTION
Online admission system is aimed at developing an online admission application for a college and universities like IGNOU. This system is an online system that can be accessed throughout the organization and outside a well with proper login provided. Every year, students in thousands queue up for collecting admission / application forms and then again for submitting the admission / application forms. This leads to problems in managing the applications, resulting in annoyed parents and students alike. Online Admission System provides the facility to admission of any student without doing paper work like submitting admission form. He can take admission through website process where he/she can clicks on desire link and fill online application form and upload their respective document necessary for admission. Our system has four modules Old Student New Student Staff Administrator
1.1 Background
It is not easier said than done to manage admission system for an IGNOU.It is most too difficult to manage new student admission, registration for a semester, allot study centre and address of a student.
1.2 Objectives
To remove the traditional way of admission system, we introduced the online admission system. This application should provide facility to attach the document that are required for admission & provide facility for secure online payment gateway. The basic objective of the praposed system is as follow: New Student can easily apply for universities courses,\. Old student can make request for re registration, study centre change and address change.

Staff will be receive the form & verify it. If the verification will be correct then a lot the enrolment number, study centre and also a user name & password, and for old student staff will receive the form & register it.
Administrator will be set the criteria & control on staff & student also. Staff perform maintain and update record & submit to the administrator.
The main purpose of the web page will be provide the facility to IGNOU student,staff,administrator to easy manage the new admission ,registration ,study centre change & address change form of it.
1.3.1 Scope
This system can be used in the IGNOU regional centre Lucknow with the little change.
2. SURVEY OF TECHNOLOGIES
There are various problems in IGNOU admission system, because it is not easy to use admission, re-registration of old student, address & study centre change process & fee collection process. Major drawback of IGNOU admission system are given below 1- Not easy to use. 2- Not easy to maintain student record & verification process. 3- Time consuming process. 4- Not easy to allot student enrolment number & study centre. 5- Not easy to payment mode.
3.2 Requirements Specification
In the proposed application the requirement of online admission system are given below 1. Now student can use online admission form for admission. 2. Student can attach document, photograph with online admission form. 3. Student can use online payment gateway for quick fee payment. 4. IGNOU staff can easily verify student documents & can allot enrolment no and study centre. 5. Online admission system provide user name & password to each student for further communication such as change study centre request & address change request. 6. Administrator can manage student account & also staff account.
It is very necessary to plan & schedule the proposed system .so that the proposed system will be prepared in current time period. There are used the Gantt chart & pert chart technique. PERT Chart: A PERT chart is a graph-based chart. It can be used to determine the activities that from the critical path, which if delayed will cause the overall project to delay.
