American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California August 2011 - Present LGBTQ Student Rights Advocate Investigate incidences of unresolved harassment and discrimination in schools and school districts. Facilitate and execute community education, policy advocacy and litigation plan designated by department. Initiate and maintain relationships with organizational, community and coalition partners. Supervise interns, undergraduate and graduate, to complete goals and objectives of student rights project and department. Delta Lambda Phi April 2009 - April 2012 Western Regional Director Managed communication plan to ensure distribution of new programs, policies, and procedures. Liaison for local chapters/members and local committees to staff for further development and maintenance of programs. Monitored progress of local chapters/members in their region as it relates to obligations, policies, and all other operations. Planned, prepared, organized, and orchestrated regional conferences twice a year and national gathering once a year. UCLA Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Campus Resource Center September 2007- June 2010 Intern/Personal Assistant Maintained office by making and administering schedules for student and full-time staff. Supervised all programs from 15 LGBT organizations basing programs out of the Center. Created and piloted ally program that allowed for students and staff to be educated on LGBT issues. Surveyed and analyzed data usage of all resources provided for students and all university personnel.

LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
Equality in Education, Orange County January 2013 - Present Advocacy Liaison Train coalition members on how to conduct local lobbying, both legislative and administrative. Advise on campaigns with respect to LGBTQ youth, specifically those with intersecting identities of at-risk communities. Manage intakes of bullying, harassment and discrimination while simultaneously creating action plan and referral networks. Educate community members on current methods of lobbying, coalition building and youth empowerment models.

Southern California Safe Schools Coalition February 2012 - Present LGBTQ Student Rights Legal Consultant Facilitate meetings and coordinate events created by the coalition. Manage all trainings regarding community advocacy and legal rights for coalition partners and associated members. Coordinate additional research and analysis for specific legal rights inquiries. Oversee and create legal resources for meetings, trainings and community events. DeColores September 2011 - Present Community Organizer Raise awareness of intersecting identities of people of color and LGBT people through grassroots organizing. Consultant for outreach events, local advocacy and fundraising opportunities. Liaison to other community organizations while cultivating and maintaining new community relationships. Create and implement programs and workshops for annual conference.
February 2011 - December 2012 Delphi Foundation, Board of Directors Chaired Scholarship Committee which oversaw allocation, amount and restrictions of all scholarships. Monitored bank accounts and all other financial obligations related to investment of funds. Planned and executed all scholarship awardees ceremonies. Primary coordinator of outreach to all constituents while accumulating and maintaining applicant database. UCLA Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Campus Resource Center Advisory Board September 2007 - June 2011 Undergraduate/Alumni Student Representative Voiced pertinent issues from the student body and community at large to board. Evaluated effectiveness of programs, vision and mission statement implemented by the Center to ensure the effectiveness. Advised on how to create and sustain efficient policies, procedures and systems. Facilitated meetings and charged with overseeing all subcommittees and duties assigned to said subcommittees.
