General
In pursuance to the decision of the Apex court in Islamic Academic Educational and Another Vs State
of Karnataka and others dated 14-08-2003, a Common Entrance Test is to be conducted by an
Association of Pondicherry Un-aided (Self-financing) Professional Colleges. Now Pondicherry Institute of
Medical Sciences has been granted permission to conduct Common Entrance Test in the name of “Common
Entrance Test for Postgraduate Medical Courses-2009” (CETPGMC-2009) for the purpose of selection
& admission of students for Postgraduate course in the Private colleges under the Management Quota.
Number, Photograph and Entrance Test Center will be sent to the candidate by post. (Names of eligible
candidates will also be displayed on the website). The Hall Ticket must be produced at the time of Entrance
Test. Without the Hall Ticket no candidate will be permitted to write the test. Mobile Phones will not be
allowed inside the Exam hall.
Duplicate Hall Ticket
If the Hall Ticket is not received by 17-03-2009 the candidate should contact the CETPGMC-2009 test center
- 'Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences' Pondicherry with two passport size photographs and proof of
having applied for CETPGMC-2009 to get the Duplicate Hall Ticket.

The application is meant for registering the candidate for Common Entrance Test (CETPGMC-2009) for

2. Admission / no. of seats available are subject to MCI / Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Approval
of the College.

3. The Candidate should send copy of the MCI recognized M.B.B.S qualification. The internship certificate
and copy of the Permanent Registration obtained from any State Medical Council are mandatory for
eligibility to register as a Post Graduate student.
