Position Purpose: The Online Communications Manager is responsible for FTEs web and online communications strategy and implementation. This includes management of the Web site and social media platforms. This position requires a high level of decision-making and strategic thinking with a collaborative team as well as an ability to work independently to implement specific activities to meet the organizations strategic goals and grant activities. Key Result Areas and Essential (E) and Secondary (S) Functions: 40% E E Manage and update FTE website and social media networks. Plan, implement and integrate Web and new media to support Communications strategies and organizational goals. Ensure Web site content is accurate, current and refreshed, by establishing systems with staff, monitoring events, creating or directing features, and updating on a regular basis. Update website utilizing content management tools and direct external Web vendors as needed. Develop strategy and output for social networks. Develop, write and edit copy for FTEs website and other online communications, that maintain a consistent organizational brand identity, voice and message. Daily management and updating of social media networks. Administer website help desk. Gather and review blog, social media and web site analytics to improve content engagement. Maintain schedule of blog posts. Keep video, audio, photography and PDF libraries current. Track all website/social media updates by FTE colleagues. Plan and oversee media. Manage video and audio capture at events and field assignments. Work with Communications Manager to create strategies for and plan video and film productions. Organize, label and backup all media for post-production. Manage video editing process. Oversee the operational issues for online communication. Develop annual and quarterly plans with the Communications Manager. Track and report expenses. Identify and present trends and solutions related to online communications and social media. Track and maintain video and audio equipment.

Work collaboratively and contribute to the FTE staff community. Attend and actively participate in FTE staff meetings, retreats and trainings. Participate in FTE cross-functional teams as needed. Participate in FTE-wide work initiatives.

Job Qualifications: Minimum Education and Experience Bachelors degree and a minimum of three years related full time professional work experience, or a combination of equivalent experience and training. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of and ability to use with a high degree of proficiency Apple operating systems, Microsoft Office, website content management systems, and social media platforms Competent in working with Google Analytics, Expression Engine CMS, SmugMug, HTML4 & CSS (HTML5 a plus) Basic knowledge in social media platform and willingness and ability to develop expertise Experience in video and audio editing software and operating SLR video camera is a plus Other A/V knowledge including presentation technology, basic graphic design skills, and sound reinforcement is a plus Skill in written and oral communication. Skill in project management and vendor management Ability to manage multiple projects and budgets simultaneously with minimum supervision Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across organizational functions Ability to handle heavy workload and meet deadlines Ability to write and communicate effectively Ability to track industry trends and incorporate them into workflow structures Personal attributes needed in this position Commitment to the overall mission and work of FTE Commitment to diversity in program offerings and building relationships with colleagues and constituents.
