RESEARCH METHODOLOGY This study is based on descriptive research,wich is aimed at describing the state of affairs that exists in the

area of study. Research approach Survey method is used for the study.The study is based upon the opinions of employees of various departments in Hindustan Organic Chemicals Ltd.As it is not possible to survive the entire population elements, sample survey was adopted. Research design As major obective of the study was to analyse the Employee empowerment and Organisational Outcomes in Hindustan Organic Chemicals Ltd.The study adopts descriptive research and the detailed resesrch design is as follows, Data collection design i) Data sources The source through which data were collected can be classified as: Primary sources The primary data of the study was collected from the employees of various departments in Hindustan Organic Chemicals Ltd.The respondents were contacted directly and the data required for the study were collected by structured questionnaires.The primary data is also collected through discussions,observation and interviews. Secondary sources The secondary data were collected from company records,journals,annual reports,organizational manual,company website,internet and library. ii) Data collection method The primary rata required for the study were to be collected from the employees of various departments by administering pretested structured questionnaire.The researcher builds up a sample frame of 405 employees in

Hindustan Organic Chemicals Ltd.From the source list a sample size comprising of 50 employees was selected by adopting simple random sampling.Each of 50 employees will be personally contacted and the necessary data will be collected with the help of structured pretested questionnaires. iii) Data collection tool

The instrument used for the study was a pre-tested structured questionnaire.A pilot study was conducted to identify whether the questions are logical,whether they can understand the meaning of questions etc.The questionnaire consisted of 26 questions and it was framed in English. Sampling design i) Population The population of the study comprises of 405 employees of Hindustan Organic Chemicals Ltd. Sampling unit The study was focused on employees of Hindustan Organic Chemicals Ltd. The required data were collected from 50 employees. Sampling method The information was collected by the direct contact with the employees. Simple random sampling was used to select the employees from the total population. Contact method The respondents were contacted personally and the data required for the study were collected by structured questionnaires. Statistical design The collected data was analyzed with the help of percentage analysis.

LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

Difficulty in getting back the questionnaires from the respondents Less time to interact with the employees. Due to short time, fully fledged study cannot be made. The researcher could not meet all the employees in the organization The study was based on the assumption that the response will always be truthful and correct. But this assumption might not be true always because they are afraid that they might lose their job.
