Guidelines for Synopsis Synopsis, preferably, should be of about 3-4 pages.

The content should be as bri ef as is sufficient enough to explain the objective and implementation of the pr oject that the students are going to take up. The students must adhere to the gu idelines and should include the following in the given order. Topic of the Project: This should be explicitly mentioned at the beginning of th e Synopsis. Since the topic itself gives a peep into the project to be taken up, students are advised to be prudent on naming the project. This being the overal l impression of the future work, the topic should corroborate the work. Objective/Aim/Vision: This should give a clear picture of the project. Objective should be clearly specified. Market Potential & Competitive advantage/Scope: When the project ends up, it sho uld give a clear picture how it is going to help the society. Additionally, incl ude the market value of the project in the synopsis. Also mention, the end users who are going to use your project. Process Description/Methodology Adopted: Summarize the methodology that has to b e adopted for the project development. This may be supported by DFD's / Flowchar ts/block diagrams. Resources: The requirement of the resources for designing and developing the pro posed system must be given. The resources have to be in the form of the hardware / software or the data from the industry. Limitations: All the possible limitations of the proposed system in terms of a b igger and comprehensive system must be included. References: Mention about the book, URL s or journals that students are going to r efer for project in standard format.
