Good supplies. Iceberg markets are active as sizing is still running small. Quality issues such as insect activity, epidermal peel and blistering are noted. All lettuces are showing fair quality with stronger demand as a result of smaller sizing. Processors are looking for increased amounts of product limiting the market supply. Butter and Green Leaf lettuces will be your better bet over Iceberg and Romaine. Romaine markets have strengthened as well, as quality industry wide has been affected. Spring mix quality has stabilized. Supplies are good with good quality being reported. Stable supplies of most mushrooms with good quality. Sheds are beginning to finish up in the northwest area, putting pressure on markets. Markets are down with increasing volumes. Markets are stronger with good quality. Red and Yellow Peppers are seeing lighter supplies. Markets are steady and quality is good. New crop Florida Red Potatoes have started. Whites and Yukon are steady. Supplies are good with great quality. Supplies and quality have improved over the last week. Markets have stabilized with improved quality. ALERT: Yellow Squash markets are short with little to no availability. Expect this to remain for the next two weeks. Zucchini markets from Florida and Mexico are strong as cooler weather affected supplies. We are still a few weeks away from Plant City, Florida production and recent rain may have impacted the area. Markets will remain active for the next few weeks. Volume has continued to decrease in both the Florida and Mexico growing regions. The current market conditions will affect most types of tomatoes including rounds, romas, grapes and cherries.

The Apple season continues with lower than average supplies especially on smaller fruit. Markets have bumped up as sizing is a struggle and Mexico has backed off of supplies. California quality is excellent and supplies are increasing. The supply has stabilized in the various growing regions. Color is improving as the season progresses. Quality is good. Cold weather is inhibiting supplies from Guatemala and Mexico. Quality is good. Expect shortages from Chile as volume decreases. Florida harvest will start in a few weeks, and this is expected to help with supplies. Quality is good. Weather issues are impacting volumes from California and Mexico. Quality is good. Markets are temporarily stable as Floridas cooler weather affects supplies. A decline in California and Mexico harvests are keeping markets tight.

Citrus - Grapefruit Citrus Lemons Citrus Limes FL, TX CA MX Quality is good. Supplies are better on larger sizes. Both quality and availability are good and demand is strong with larger sized and fancy fruit markets slightly up. Less volume crossing is causing markets to rise. The new crop is expected in about 10 days and this will help with smaller sizes. Larger sized markets remain high. Quality and availability are both excellent, especially on smaller sizes. Demand is strong and larger sizes are tighter. Fancy fruit is a little tight. Green Grape markets have relaxed. Red markets are slightly higher as some Crimsons are available and markets on Flames are low as their quality reflects. Quality and volume are fine. Markets are very firm as white fly problems affect both markets. Larger sized predominate with Honeydew. The reverse is true with canataloupes. Supplies are tight as product arrives from Honduras and Mexico. Mexico is 40% lighter in volume than previous years. Quality has improved on seeded and seedless. Bosc, Anjou and Bartlett varieties are coming from Washington. Markets are stable with quality fruit. Supplies are consistent with good quality. Brix has been averaging 13% with average internal gold color.
