[ELXN050320130008, DVSM 2000B] Receipt of Complaint REQUESTED BY: George Parry, Official Agent and Campaign Manager for United ACTION: RULING. SUMMARY: Mr. Parry contacted the Election Office to make a complaint about the size of the posters of A New RRRA. The posters of A New RRRA are 11 by 17 in the public postering locations. After consulting the electoral code the CEO found there are no limitations on the dimensions of posters in public poster locations. Previously the CEO had stated that 11 by 17 (tabloid) would be an appropriate size for the public postering locations. Previously the CEO had found that team A New RRRA had not broken the electoral code because their posters were tabloid which are acceptable, but after being asked by George Parry, the campaign manager for Team United, to investigate further on the basis that the posters were not in fact 11 by 17, the CEO found that the posters were in fact larger than 11 by 17 and not tabloid size. RULING: The CEO rules that the posters must come down and be replaced (if they would like) with tabloid-sized posters. The cost of replacing the posters shall not be applied to the budget of A New RRRA. This shall serve as a verbal warning and violation (nonserious). EFFECTIVE: March 5th, 2013 at 4:20 PM EST. [ELXN050320130008, DVSM 2000C] Receipt of Complaint REQUESTED BY: Discovered by the Elections Office. ACTION: RULING. SUMMARY: It is a requirement that all graphics be authorized. It was furthermore a requirement that all graphics be approved by the Elections Office. Yet, when the CEO was asked by

Michael De Luca, the Official Agent for A New RRRA to add Daniel Shalinsky, a candidate for A New RRRA on Facebook, so that he could be added to the A New RRRA Facebook event, he found that Mr. Shalinsky had graphics that were not approved by the Elections Office and that Mr. Shalinskys A New RRRA Facebook cover photo was not authorized. The CEO took a screen capture noting the time. RULING: Standards for Campaign Materials is a regulation enacted by the elections office. The regulation was breached twice in two different ways (and the elections office will note that if the graphic had been submitted for approval, that the elections office would have pointed out there was no authorized tag). In any case, two breaches of the regulation results in two violations (non-serious). The CEO rules all non-authorized material must be removed from Facebook. EFFECTIVE: March 5th, 2013 at 4:30 PM EST. [ELXN080320130008, DVSM 2000D] Receipt of Complaint REQUESTED BY: George Parry, Official Agent and Campaign Manager for United ACTION: RULING. SUMMARY: Mr. Parry contacted the Election Office to make a complaint about authorization of A New RRRAs Facebook event. The CEO was invited to the event and approved it. Mr. Parrys contention is that because the CEO was not made an administrator of the event A New RRRA should be awarded an infraction. RULING: The CEO does not award an infraction because he approved the Facebook event. The CEO does ask however that he be made an administrator of the Facebook event to prevent further confusion. EFFECTIVE: March 8th, 2013 at 1:22 PM EST. [ELXN080320130008, DVSM 2000E] Receipt of Complaint REQUESTED BY: John Mesman, Campaign Manager for A New RRRA ACTION: RECIEPT SUMMARY: Mr. Mesman contacted the elections office to file a complaint against team United based on their campaigns look and feel. The elections office notes that over 24 hours have elapsed since United began distributing the material Mr. Mesman is contesting. As such it cannot accept Mr. Mesmans complaint. RULING: There is no ruling but this will serve as a receipt of the complaint, which cannot be accepted. EFFECTIVE: March 8th, 2013 at 1:25 PM EST.
