Outline is a must for CSS essay.

Headings, however, are not generally recommended as they spoil the flow of thoughts and para to para connectivity; so you should, better, avoid it. You can plan outline on rough pages at the end of answer sheet, thereafter write it at the beginning of essay on neat pages.

Well, essays topics, generally, does not fall under single topic essays. They are often statements, interrelated and specifically confined to some aspects of the issue. e.g. Energy Crisis in Pakistan: Causes and Consequences The United Nations in the 21st Century: Obligations and Limitations Democracy is a culture rather than a process I would suggest following for essay writing 1. Brainstorming: In my opinion first better option to go while attempting an essay is to brainstorm in a way that you cover all important points/aspects. Write the topic in centre then go on extracting points and sub-points.

You can do it on rough pages of your answer sheet. I did the same in my Essay Paper. 2. Outlining: Now, you have all possible points before you; you have to choose,

compile and arrange your outline. That too, you should do on rough pages. Outline should be comprehensive enough to give a complete view of your essay to the examiner. So, it would be a good option to make your outline in a { 1) i)a)} order. e.g. (suggesting solution to problems of education) 6) Suggestions and Recommendations iii) Campaigning educational revolution a)Role of media__ awakening public spirit b) establishing a public fund__ etc iv) Financing education a) Debt financing b) Public-private partnership. and the like

Develop your outline in an orderly manner to an effective conclusion. You can use compare/ contrast, advantages/disadvantages, problem/solution, reforms, strength/weaknesses, cause/effect techniques as per the requirement of the essay

Writing THE Essay: While writing the essay, keep the following things in consideration: 1. It should be organized, on the same lines as would be your outline 2. Avoid grammar and spelling mistakes as much as possible: 3. Be consistent and clear in thoughts 4. Write pertinent and to the point 5. There should be coherence ( each paragraph being unified in itself and so shouls be the whole essay) 6. use connective devices 7. There should be fluency both in thoughts and expression

8. Use variety of sentence patterns 9. Relate your essay to the current developments/situation: put relevant facts and figures 10. Use quotations if you have relevant ones; avoid using quotes for the sake of it
