RBC National Youth Leadership Scholarship

What is the Outward Bound Canada - RBC National Youth Leadership Scholarship?

ELIGIBITY REQUIREMENTS The Outward Bound Canada - RBC Aboriginal Youth Leadership Scholarship is open to all Aboriginal youth (First Nations, Metis and Inuit) aged 15-19. Priority will be given to youth who are actively playing a leadership role within their community.
The RBC National Youth Leadership Scholarship is designed to offer Aboriginal youth a unique opportunity to increase their leadership capacity through participation in one of Outward Bound Canadas (OBC) wilderness courses. This Scholarship provides Aboriginal youth the opportunity to join other Canadian youth in an inspiring wilderness journey focusing on leadership, outdoor skill development and personal growth. OBC offers wilderness courses in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario, providing the opportunity to explore the Pacific Coast, the spectacular Rocky Mountains and the remote wilderness of the Canadian Shield. This scholarship gives participants the chance to develop their own unique leadership potential, to interact with motivated peers, to cultivate valuable life skills and to discover their own strengths, abilities and gifts while traveling in some of Canada's most inspiring wilderness areas. This Scholarship is intended for youth aged 15-19 years who have demonstrated leadership within their own community and are interested and invested in participating in an OBC wilderness experience.
