Dear Colleagues, The Microfinance Council of the Philippines, Inc. (MCPI) cordially invites you to be part of the Annual SPM Peer Learning Forum on March 20 to 21, 2013 at the BSA Twin Towers, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City. The forum is a platform that supports MCPIs ongoing initiatives to provide peer support, learning and exchange on SPM practices, issues and challenges. Objectives The SPM Peer Learning Forum aims to gather key SPM practitioners, advocates and supporters in microfinance. This year, the objectives of the Peer Learning Forum are the following: Build awareness and discuss the Universal Standards on Social Performance Management (USSPM) with microfinance institutions, investors, service providers, and other support organizations; Explain the process of the SP Fund Call for Tools a project on USSPM implementation; Deepen understanding on the use of the Progress out of Poverty Index tool through a data analysis workshop; Deepen understanding on pricing transparency the Effective Interest Rate (EIR), its calculation, conversion from flat interest rate to declining balance, and its overall effect on an institutions sustainability; and Gain knowledge on how to communicate effectively to clients the EIR. Who Should Attend Invited to attend the forum are microfinance institutions, investors, wholesalers, donors, government agencies, networks and service providers. MCPI MFI-members may send a maximum of two (2) participants. This forum is ideally suitable for Executive Directors, CEOs, supervisors, managers, officers, senior staff and SPM champions (if any). Other institutions can only send one (1) participant. Slots are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Other Forum Details Forum Participation Fee: MCPI Members: Live-in participants: Php 6,000.00/person which will cover the following: Twin-sharing accommodation for 3 nights (March 19 to March 21) at the BSA Twin Towers, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City. Breakfast on March 20 to 22; Morning and afternoon snacks, lunch on March 20 and 21; Workshop materials Live-out participants: Php 3,000.00/person which will cover the following: workshop materials, morning and afternoon snacks, and lunch on March 20 and 21.

Non - MCPI Members: Live-in participants: Php 10,000.00/person which will cover the following: Twin-sharing accommodation for 3 nights (March 19 to March 21) at the BSA Twin Towers, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City. Breakfast on March 20 to 22; Morning and afternoon snacks, lunch on March 20 and 21; Workshop materials Live-out participants: Php 6,000.00/person which will cover the following: workshop materials, morning and afternoon snacks, and lunch on March 20 and 21. Participants should cover travel, pre-and-post forum accommodations, dinner during days of the forum, and other related costs. How to Participate Fill out the attached Forum Registration Form. If slots are still available, MCPI will give you a tentative confirmation of your participation through email.
