Microwave welding Say theres a leak in a sewer pipeand that pipe happens to be under the Buckingham Palace. How do you fix it? Youre not going to tear up the palace to access it, thats for sure. Repairing leaking pipes in out-of-the-way locations has long been a vexing problem. Its a problem that the UK company, Kwik Pipe Limited, brought to the attention of Eeonyx, and theyve been putting in overtime in the lab to solve it. Kwik Pipe has their patent and the process and machine should be available soonand it will rock the industry. One option for fixing a leaking plastic pipe is repairing it with a patch or a weld: but how do you patch or weld when you cant get someone to the site? Eeonyx has developed a special material called Conductive Polyolefine Web that acts as a catalyst to heat and melt-join two pieces of plastic: and heres the best part. The heat is generated by microwave energy. The conductive web layer is protected from air and is therefore not flammable. The uniformly-conductive web offers even heat distribution for no hot spots. I tried it first in my conventional microwave at home, says Jamshid Avloni, president and CEO of Eeonyx. You can generate heat in a microwave using carbon or metal, but in the process you generate fire. But fire is oxidation: without oxygen you dont have fire. I devised a way to protect it from air: thus it creates no smoke or flame. It welded together the two pieces of plastic in five seconds. The heat generation in all subsequent testing has been uniform, and the joint strength excellent. Soon, instead of digging up the whole pipe, crews will be able to simply open up two ends, slide in a rolled plastic layer and weld the plastic under air pressure (thus ensuring resolution of the leak) with a portable microwave head. The cost and time savings offered by this technology will be enormousanother smart solution to a persistent problem.

Automatic Conveyor for Industrial Automation Conveyor for Industrial Automation Automatic Conveyor for In this project we have to control the conveyor automatically by sensing the objects placed in the conveyor. Also, by using RPM sensor we have to control the speed the motor. The number of tags handled by the conveyor on the whole will be displayed simultaneously along with regulating the speed of conveyor. This project will save the power of motor operating the conveyor by regulating the conveyor automation, i.e. the conveyor actuates only when a tag is sensed. OBJECTIVES: This Automatic Conveyor for Industrial Automation consists of two object sensors, rpm sensor, and rpm control circuit which controls the speed of the motor driving the conveyor. The object sensors which detect the objects sends signal to the motor driving circuit to on/off the motor. Description: Dynamic environments pose a challenge to the read performances of current RPM control systems. Moving tags on a conveyor belt affect the read performance of a static reader. Our project attempts to evaluate a static reader identifying moving tags on a conveyor belt. We propose an algorithm enabling the conveyor belt to dynamically adjust its speed according to the load automatically, also it reliably identify tags without prior knowledge of how tags are distributed on the conveyor belt. We show by simulations that our algorithm yields more than 99% of tags being successfully identified, along with trying to maximize the average speed of the conveyor belt. In addition, the algorithm can be applied for different reader's ranges. The number of tags handled by the conveyor on the whole will be displayed simultaneously along with regulating the speed of conveyor. This project will save the power of motor operating the conveyor by regulating the conveyor automation, i.e. the conveyor actuates only when a tag is sensed.
