ZONA is the musical partnership of two acclaimed musicians by the names of Jerry Andrews and Dimitri Craven aka DJ Dimitri. Individually they have earned many successes within their careers. Jerry has been playing guitar, drums, and the keys since the age of 9. Jerrys eclectic musical background has made him a recognizable producer on film soundtracks as well as on the albums of various major artists. DJ Dimitri has been a singer/ songwriter for many years. As a DJ he has played notable L.A. venues such as King-King, Avalon, Cinaspace and many clubs around the world. Jerry & Dimitris love of hip-hop and electronic brought them together in 1997 as they worked on music for their alternative trip hop group Zumbi. This initial team effort led to future collaborations as they began to write music for soundtracks, commercials as well as producing other artists. This established what is now known as ZONA. They have put the finishing touches on their album titled Peace Love and Understanding. The album consists of different variations of house music. ZONAs music combines House, Disco, Acid Jazz, and World Music with live instrumentation. Their lyrics are about joy, love, peace, pain and spirituality. Seasoned singer and background dancer Valerie Moise has joined this dynamic team to belt out melodic vocals for various tracks on the album. Valerie has traveled the world with her own album, Raistalla, as well as danced for big names such as Madonna, Lady Gaga, Outkast, and the list goes on. Other soulful vocals were incorporated into the tracks by collaborations with brilliant singers such as Angela McGary, Chezere Brathwaite, Jackie Wilson, Wade Chandler, Louise Hale, Mike Chubb, Sarah Daye, and Chellena Black.
