The above effectivity applies to the new first stage turbine wheel only. Some earlier turbines may incorporate -the new first and second stage turbine nozzles required with the new wheel. Turbines with l?/N 6853306 Fi~rst Stage Turbine Wheel are a.ffected.

REASON:

To provide an improved first st:xge turbine wheel that incorporates increased rim thickness to reduce the tendency for cracks to orig~inate in the rim. Also, the wheel features Alpak :Sl coating for sulfidation protection. New first and second stage nozzles featuring improved material are required with the new wheel.
