The same privacy policy and legal note applies also fo r the free Joi uSpot Light Edition, and covers all versions of Joi uSpot across the supported OS platforms and phone models. By accepting these terms and per having purchased a valid use License you are al lowed to use the Joi uSpot Software. If you do not accept these terms you are no t allowed to use the Joi uSpot Software. Joi usoft is not liable for any misuse, mal-functionality, compatibility or use cost of or inability to use the Joi uSpot software. This software uses your phone s 3G/3.5G, EDGE or GPRS internet connection and shar es it over WLAN to external WLAN devices. When you turn on the Joi uSpot softwar e client in your Smartphone, you allow sharing of your phone s internet connection to external WLAN devices. This means that the external devices may connect to t he internet using your Joi uSpot as an access point and gateway to the web. All the incurring connectivity and data transfer cost is beared by the Joi uSpot sof tware client owner (=you) that shares the connection. The total use cost depends on your mobile data plan with your operator and the wireless networ (s) you are using/roaming. In Joi uSpot Premium, you can secure and set password authentica tion to your connection and control which external WiFi devices are allowed to a ccess internet via your Joi uSpot internet connection. Joi uSpot Light is a free edition and only functions as an open HotSpot, which means that it is openly ac cessible by external WiFi devices, when turned on. As the cost of all incurring mobile data traffic is beared by you, we highly rec ommend unlimited data plans with your wireless operator and using the Premium Ed ition for controlled access. To avoid unpleasant surprises with your operator s mo bile data bill, Joi usoft strongly recommends you to carefully familiarize yours elf with all aspects regarding your mobile phones mobile data costs, both in dom estic and international use contexts. If you are billed by transfer amounts per megabit or if you are using Joi uSpot while roaming abroad, the use of Joi uSpot may become very costly depending on your data plan and the operator whose mobil e broadband networ you are using. Joi usoft is not liable for any type of the c ost incurring as a result of the usage of the Joi uSpot. Please also be aware th at even if you have an unlimited data plan and when using Joi uSpot abroad, the foreign operators typically charge you for the use of their networ s on top of y our monthly plan with your operator. Use of Joi uSpot requires free registration with Joi uSoft. Joi uSoft will not r ent or sell your account registration information to the third parties. Joi uSpo t requires the Joi uSpot application to post its client-id and some other user, device, networ , connection speed, networ quality, location and usage related d ata to a secure networ server for service activation and authentication, licens e management, preventing of piracy copies and for service quality, usage measure ment, and for prompting of additional services that may include mar eting elemen ts and reporting and usage analysis purposes. When you use Joi uSpot, you allow it to post any and all such client, user, location and service usage and quality information to the networ based bac end system defined by Joi uSpot. You furt her allow Joi usoft, at Joi usoft s option, to anonymously publish any such collec ted usage and usage context, profile and quality data without revealing the user identity or any personal user information that can be used to identify an indiv idual user. Such potentially published data contain average Joi uSpot usage volu mes in certain locations or networ s, statistics of user profiles and locations of use, or networ quality information across mar ets, and such publications may

use web based mapping interfaces for visualization purposes. Using Joi uSpot impacts the phone battery consumption, and with some phone model s the increased battery consumption may heat the phone when Joi uSpot is used co ntinually for longer periods of time. Joi usoft is not liable for any such impac t of use of the Joi uSpot. Joi uSoft shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or c onsequential damages or costs to the user arising out of the use of or inability to use the Joi uSpot software.
