Parent/Carer Survey February 2013 Results A total of 70 parents/carers completed the online survey.

All questions were answered with none skipped. The results are given as a % with the actual number of respondents in brackets. Q1. Does your child enjoy coming to school? Yes: 91.4% (64) Sometimes: 8.6% (6) No: 0% If your child has any concerns about attending school, please inform the teacher asap. Q2. Does your child feel safe in school? Yes: 100% (70) No: 0% This is an important aspect of school life. A 100% positive response is very pleasing. Q3.Do you feel able to approach your childs teacher regarding any concerns? Yes: 97.1% (68) No: 2.9% (2) Teachers are always willing to discuss any issues. Please contact the school ofce to make an appointment if you have any concerns. Q4. Would you recommend CVP to a friend or colleague? Yes: 98.6% (69) No 1.4% (1) A personal recommendation to a friend demonstrates that parents/carers value CVP. Q5. Do you feel the school communicates well with parents and carers? For example; newsletter, coffee mornings, texting, website, class blogs, reports etc. Yes: 92.9% (65) No: 7.1% (5) The school is always exploring ways of communicating with parents/carers. If you have any suggestions to improve this important aspect of school life, then please inform the school ofce.

Excellent: 58.6% (41) Very good: 28.65 (20) Good: 10.0% (7) Satisfactory: 2.9% (2) Unsatisfactory: 0% It is pleasing to see that 97% of respondents rated this aspect as good or better. Q7. Does your child achieve well well at CVP? Yes: 98.6% (69) No: 0% Dont know: 1.4% (1) This is an extremely positive response. Q8.Is the school ambitious for your child? Yes: 90.0% (63) No: 0% Dont know: 10% (7) This question refers to the school wanting each child to do as well as possible and fulll their potential. Q9. In your opinion is the school innovative and forward looking? Yes: 97.1% (68) No: 1.4% (1) Dont know: 1 (1) The school is always looking for innovative ways of engaging children and developing their learning both in and outside school. Q10. Overall how would you rate Childwall Valley Primary School? Excellent: 71.4% (50) Very good: 21.4% (15) Good: 7.1% (5) Satisfactory: 0% Unsatisfactory: 0% An overall rating of 100% of respondents judging CVP to be good or better with 71% rating the school as excellent is very pleasing. Overall this survey demonstrates that parents/carers are of the opinion that CVP is a good school where children achieve well, feel safe and are happy.
