STANDARD LESSON PLAN
A- ATTENTION
Questions about what has been happening to the trainee since last time. Check comfort level with the pace of learning. Ask if the trainee has any questions or problems with the last session, even if that task is not a pre-requisite for the task in this session. Test the trainees recall of the attitudes, skills and knowledge required for any task that is an important pre-requisite for this particular task.
Attention
By asking questions: What is the cost of this machine? Have you ever used the photocopier machine? What kind of documents do you think guests require copies of?
Objective Need
By the end of this session, you will be able to use the photocopier machine to make copies of various documents. Once you have learnt this task, you will be able to make copies for guests as well as for your administrative purpose also. This is one of the simple jobs that can make you help your department and will make you contribute.

3. Set original
By Removing staple pins, if any Placing it on the entry slit on top, adjusting the two margins Ensuring the printed side faces up Or Lifting the top lid and original facing down Adjusting it between appropriate page size markings on side By closing the lid
Why do we need to remove staple pins? Why do we need to place original between margins/markings of paper size? Why do we need to close the cover of the photocopier before printing?

If original is larger than the feeder paper, adjust size using Zoom button. Use DOWN arrow key to reduce percentage.
HOW IS THE STEP DONE By pressing the green button called Print

Can you locate the button that I used to give print command to the copier? What can go wrong here?
WHEN DO YOU KNOW THE STEP IS CORRECT? Hear printing sound See printed copies appear in out tray Check paper placement in Feeder tray, if printing does not happen. If printing stops midway, Add Paper sign appears. Then add paper in feeder tray and press Print again

C CHECK
Questions on any detail not mentioned during the Verbal Check (eg): Why the lid of the copier needs to be closed before giving the print command? What do we do to reduce the size of the paper which needs to be printed if it is bigger than A4 size?
PRACTICAL CHECK Have the trainee perform the entire task without help and in silence. Ensure only good habits are being practised. Coach if necessary. PRAISE LINK FORWARD Recognise and appreciate his or her success. Ask questions to direct trainees attention to either: The task to be covered in the next session AND/OR A task later in the checklist for which todays task is a pre-requisite Reconfirm the venue, day and time of the next session. Encourage and ensure practice on-the-job to develop skills
