CARL M. BAIR MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Carl M. Bair Memorial Scholarship provides education grants to students whose parent or guardian is a member of the Palm Beach Classroom Teachers Association. The scholarship seeks to recognize individuals who possess a desire for higher education, have high overall qualifications, and demonstrate a genuine need for financial assistance.

CTA Bair Scholarships are for dependents of CTA members to encourage and promote the pursuit of higher education through a community college or accredited college/university.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. All applicants must be legal dependents, as defined by the IRS, of a Palm Beach CTA member. All applicants must be high school seniors, high school graduates, or registered college freshmen with a minimum 2.5 unweighted grade point average. All applicants yearly family income may not exceed $75,000.

REQUIREMENTS
Complete application Parent/Guardian 2012 tax return Official transcript Parent/Guardian must attend a MANDATORY orientation on either Monday, March 4, 2013, or Thursday, March 7, 2013, from 5:00pm 6:30pm at the Palm Beach CTA office (715 Spencer Drive). All applicants must complete a one page, single-spaced (12 point, Times New Roman) essay addressing the corresponding topic: For high school seniors or graduates - "Describe a teacher, other than your parent/guardian who has inspired you in your educational career."
