Developing the Students Learning Achievement in Writing Descriptive Essay at the Fifth Grade Students of MIS AttaqwaPanaikang Makassar by Using Direct Object Media. Supervised by H.M. Ide Said D.M. and AndiSukriSyamsuri. Writing skill is needed to express the thought orderly. Therefore, the students should be trained to express their idea creatively and imaginatively earlier. The observation done by the researcher showed that there were many students who still found difficulty in developing the sentences in learning Indonesian Language learning. To develop that skill, the use of appropriate learning media in developing the students achievement is necessary. This research aimed at finding out the description about the development of the planning, conducting, and evaluating of the application of direct object media in writing descriptive essay at the fifth grade students of MIS AttaqwaPanaikang Makassar. This research was conducted by sing Classroom Action Research Method. The subject of the research was 30 students of the fifth grade students of MIS AttaqwaPanaikang Makassar. The instruments used in collecting the data were interview, field observation, and test. The findings showed that the fifth grade students of MIS AttaqwaPanaikang Makassar had been able to write descriptive essay by using direct object media correctly. The conclusion showed that by noticing the minimal score standard from the early survey until cycle I 36.66%, cycle II became 70.00% and cycle III 93.33%, it significantly develop. It showed that the application of direct object media in learning is effective to develop the students achievement in writing descriptive essay at the fifth grade students of MIS AttaqwaPanaikang Makassar.

ABSTRACT BasriHasbullah, 2012. The Improvement Appreciation Ability of Intrinsic Element of Folktales through Telling Technique at the seventh grade students of SMPN 1 BalocciKabupatenPangkep. Supervised by Abd.Rahman Rahim and AndiSukriSyamsuri. This research aimed to describeplanning, implementing, and assessing the implementation of telling technique in improving the appreciation ability of intrinsic element of folktale at the seventh grade students of SMPN 1 BalocciKabupatenPangkep. The approach which used in this research was qualitative approach. This research was classroom action research. This research was done at the seventh grade students of SMPN 1 BalocciKabupatenPangkep in academicyear 2011/2012. The instrumentsof the research wereobservation, test, and recorder. Technique of data analysis of this research was qualitative descriptive. Research findings indicated that (1) the planning of implementation Telling Technique in learning process of folktale appreciation at the seventh grade students of SMPN 1 BalocciKabupatenPangkep in cycle I was good and it improved in cycle IIbecome very good. The planning which composed with analyzing curriculum, learning the source of the study, making lesson plan, providing facilities (case will propose as folktale appreciation), making observation sheet of the students activity, and composing exercise as an evaluation.(2) the implementation of Telling Technique in learning process of folktale appreciation at the seventh grade students of SMPN 1 BalocciKabupatenPangkep in cycle I was fairly good and it improved in cycle II become very good, (3) the evaluation of implementation Telling Technique in improving the appreciation ability of intrinsic element of folktale at the seventh grade students of SMPN 1 BalocciKabupatenPangkep consisted of observation and test of folktale appreciation. Observation aimed to know motivation, learning interest, and students activeness. Test aimed to know the result of implementation Telling Technique in improving the students appreciation ability at the seventh grade students of SMPN 1 BalocciKabupatenPangkep. The result of the study in cycle I categorized high with the learning standard 70% or 21 students got the score 70 up, and cycle II improved to very high level with the learning standard 96,67% or 29 students got the score 70 up. Thus, it can concluded the result of assessment of implementation Telling Technique can improved learning of folktale appreciation at the seventh grade students of SMPN 1 BalocciKabupatenPangkep.

Abstract Asriani, 2012. The Improvement Professionalisms Competence of the teacher in writing scientificwriting through KKG (Teacher Work Team) at Elementary School of KecamatanBarru. (supervised by Salam and AndiSukriSyamsuri). This research aimed (1) to describe the role of scientific writing in improving the professionalism competence of elementary school teacher at KecamatanBarruKabupatenBarru, (2) to know the effect of scientific writing of the teacher work in improving professionalism competence of Elementary school teacher at KecamatanBarruKabupatenBarru. This research was done at the several elementary schools in KecamatanBarruKabupatenBarru. Data collection used observation, questionnaire, interview, documentation. Data analysis used descriptive approach, percentage tabulation, categorization, and correlation analysis. Research findings approved that assessment indicator of scientific writing and teacher work team in improving the professionalism competence of elementary school teacher at KecamatanBarruKabupatenBarru generally accepted with the good appreciation from the respondent. The result of regression analysis indicated that scientific writing and KKG (Teacher Work Team) in improving the professionalism competence of elementary school teacher at KecamatanBarruKabupatenBarru with descriptive analysis showed the high score teacher knowledge and skill with the mean score 83,3% and low indicator with the mean score was 73,3% or it means that the better scientific writing and teacher work team, it will be better the professionalism competence of elementary school teacher at KecamatanBarruKabupatenBarru. Thus, it can concluded that the improvement of scientific writing and teacher work team have the strong relation with the professionalism competence of elementary school teacher at KecamatanBarruKabupatenBarru.

Abstract Marliani,2012. Using Picture Media in improving the creative writing skill at the eighth grade studentsofMTSnGantarangKindangKabupatenBulukumba (supervised by Salam and AndiSukriSyamsuri). This research was classroom action research. This research was done in cycles; it consisted of fourstepstheyare: planning, implementing, observation, and reflection. This research was in the eighth grade student at MTSnGantarangKindangKabupatenBulukumba. Data collection was observation and test with the 59 students. The data has collected then analyzing by using quantitative and qualitative analysis. Research findings indicated that (1) the planning of writing short story by using picture media at the eighth grade students of MTSnGantarangKindangKabupatenBulukumba analyzed the result of pre-action, then made lesson plan for twice meeting, provided observation sheet, and composed evaluation, (2) the implementation of learning writing short story by using picture media at the eighth grade students of MTSnGantarangKindangKabupatenBulukumba was done in two cycle. Every cycle consisted of three steps they are: thinking concept, showing picture, explaining picture, composing sentence, and composing writing framework, (3) the learning evaluation in writing short story by using picture media at the eighth grade students of MTSnGantarangKindangKabupatenBulukumbaconsisted of observation and work test with writing short story. Observation aimed to know motivation, learning interest, and students activeness. Test aimedto know the result of using picture media in improving students writing of short story, (4) the learning result of writing short story by using picture media at the eighth grade students of MTSnGanatarangKindangKabupatenBulukumba improved high category in cycle I from 59 students, 19 students got score70 up (32,20) and it has very high category in cycle II, 59 students got the score 70 beyond 85%.

Abstract Alimuddin,2012.Using SAVI (Somatic-Auditory-Visual- Intellectual) method in improving writing skill of poem at the fifth grade students of SDN 28Tumampua II PangkajeneKabupatenPangkep. (supervised by Salam and AndiSukriSyamsuri). This research aimed to describe planning, implementing, and assessing the implementation of SAVI method in improving writing skill of poem at the fifth grade students of SDN 28 Tumampua II PangkajeneKabupatenPangkep. The approach which used in this research was qualitative approach. This research was classroom action research. This research was done at the fifth grade students of SDN 28 Tumampua II PangkajeneKabupatenPangkep in academic year 2011/2012. The instruments of the research were observation, writing test, and recorder. Technique of data analysis of this research was qualitative descriptive. Research findings indicated that (1) the planning of implementation SAVI (Somatic-Auditory-Visual- Intellectual) method in improving writing skill of poem at the fifth grade students of SDN 28 Tumampua II PangkajeneKabupatenPangkep consisted of: (a) preparing lesson plan, (b) composing observation sheet of student and teacher activity, (c) composing test, (d)analyzing test result, (d) implementation of SAVI (Somatic-Auditory-VisualIntellectual) method in improving writing skill of poem at the fifth grade students of SDN 28 Tumampua II PangkajeneKabupatenPangkepstarted with presenting the material, recognizing media, forming group, playing recording audiovisual, reflecting the result of recording, discussing the result of observation, determining the title based on observation, writing poem, and revising poem. The implementation of SAVI method can improve the students ability in writing Poem from good to very good. The assessment of implementation SAVI (Somatic-Auditory-Visual- Intellectual) method in improving writing skill of poem at the fifth grade students of SDN 28 Tumampua II PangkajeneKabupatenPangkepwas process and result. Processassessmentwasthe assessing of the student and teacher activity, and result assessment was the assessing of writing poem. Process assessment indicated the improvement of the student and teacher activity. Result assessment of writing poem indicated improving the students ability. .

ABSTRACT IkaZulfika. 2012. The Genetic Structuralism Study of Novel Hafalan Shalat Delisa written by TereLiye. Thesis Indonesian Language Department of Graduate Program Makassar Muhammadiyah University. (Supervised by Abd.Rahman Rahim as leader and Munirah as member). This research used the Genetic Structuralism Study that aimed to describeintrinsic structure, extrinsic structure, and interpretative genitive elements of novel Hafalan Shalat Delisa written by Tere Liye. This research was library research with qualitative descriptive approach. The primary data gained from the novel of Hafalan Shalat Delisa and the secondary data gained from another source that related to this research. Data collection of this research were (1) noted and reread the novel of Hafalan Shalat Delisa written by Tere Liye. (2) Analyzed the whole data that related genetic structuralisms of Novel Hafalan Shalat Delisa written by Tere Liye. The findings showed that (1) the structure of novel Hafalan Shalat Delisa that has a theme of ethics education in a Muslims family. The theme, plot, conflict, figure, setting and message described good relationship, totally, and life way of Delisas family. (2) Tere Liye as writer of novel Hafalan Shalat Delisa really like the life founded with Islamic religious value. Her personal background was represented in novel hafalan Shalat Delisa which was full of moral and religious value. (3) Aceh community which was very religious with the majority of M```````oslem underwent Tsunami and earthquake. That condition became the background of the born of the novel hafalan Shalat Delisa by Tere Liye. The novel was written specially to memorize the Tsunami in Aceh in 2004. Tere Liye emphasized that the community of Aceh always consistence in holding religious teaching to face the effect of Tsunami and earthquake.

ABSTRACT RatuNur, 2012. The Description of Headmaster Leadership toward Teacher Load of SMAN 1 East Pasimasunggu, KepulauanSelayarRegency.Supervised by Abd.M.Ide Said and RusliMalli. This research focused on the description of headmaster leadership toward teacher load in SMA 1 East Pasimasunggu,KepulauanSelayar Regency and the type of leadershipthatisownedby the headmaster. This research was a descriptive qualitative research. This research also used two variables they were leadership and load. The population of the research was the teacher of SMAN 1 East Pasimasunggu and the sample was 25 teachers. The all primer data gained from interview, observation, and documentation. The all data has been collected then analyzed by using descriptive analysis technique. Research findings indicated that the description of Headmaster Leadership of SMAN 1 East PasimasungguKepulauanSelayar Regency have a great influence to the teacher load improvement and teacher morale at the SMAN 1 East PasimasungguKepulauanSelayar Regency. The type of leadership that is owned by the Headmaster of SMAN 1 East Passimasungguwas transactional leadership. Some factors influenced the teacher load of SMAN 1 East PassimasungguKepulauanSelayar Regency consisted of ; the facilities provided, having teacher job description, teacher relationship, the awareness and responsibility of the teachers.

MUHAMMAD JAFAR, 2012. Using Flash Card Media in improving the Speaking Skill at the sixth grade students of SDN KIP V Bara - Barayya Kota Makassar (supervised by M.Ide Said and Syafruddin M) This research aimed to describe planning, implementing, and assessing the implementation of Flash Card Media in improving speaking kill at the sixth grade students of SDN KIP V Bara Baraya Kota Makassar. The approach which used in this research was qualitative approach. This research was classroom action research. This research was done at the sixth grade students of SDN KIP V Bara-Baraya Kota in academic year 2011/2012. The instruments of the research were observation, speaking test, and recorder. Technique of data analysis of this research was qualitative descriptive. Research findings indicated that (1) the planning of implementation Flash Card Media composed the curriculum, learning the material, preparing lesson plan for three times meeting, providing the media (flash card Media), making observation sheet in learning process, and composing test as evaluation in advance. (2) the implementation of flash card in learning speaking was done for two cycle, every cycle consisted of three times meeting they were: brainstorming, showing picture with flash card method, explaining picture, and communicating the content of flash card picture. The implementation of flash card media can improve the teacher ability in speaking from good to very good. And also the implementation of flash card media can improve the students ability in speaking from active to very active. (3) The evaluation of implementation of flash card media in learning speaking in first cycle categorized low. And the second cycle categorized high. The mean score in first cycle was 42, 29 and it was improved in second cycle with the mean score was 80. The result of the study in the first cycle was 0% and it was improved in the second cycle with the 100%.It means that, can be concluded that the implementation of flash card media can improve the students speaking skill.

The Implementation Film Strip Media in improving the Reading Comprehension Skill of Narrative Text at the third grade students of SDN 174 SukadamaiKecamatanSukamajuKabupatenLuwu Utara (supervised by Abd. Rahman Rahim andMunirah) This research aimed to describe planning, implementing, and evaluating the implementation of Film Strip Media in improving the Reading Comprehension Skill of narrative text at the third grade students of SDN 174 SukadamaiKecamatanSukamajuKabupatenLuwu Utara. The approach which used classroom action research with two cycles, they are from:(1) planning; (2) Implementing; (3) evaluating; and (4) reflecting. The subject of the research was the third year students with the number of the students was 26. The technique in collecting data used documentation, observation, interview, and analyzing, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, and (4) concluding research result. Research findings indicated that (1) the planning of implementation Film Strip Media in improving the Reading Comprehension Skill of narrative text at the third grade students of SDN 174 SukadamaiKecamatanSukamajuKabupatenLuwuUtarawerecomposed the curriculum, learning the material, preparing lesson plan for three times meeting, providing the media (Computer and LCD), making observation sheet in learning process, and composing test as evaluation in advance. (2) the implementation of learning Reading comprehension were : (1) showing the reading text by AudioVisual, (2) reading the text individually or in groups, (3) observing the learning process, (4) explaining the content of reading text, (5) explaining the meaning of the reading text, (6) evaluating the learning process. And the end of action were (1) reflected and evaluated the process of learning (2) concluded and motivated the students, (3) the result of evaluation indicated that the learning of reading by using Film Strip with Audio Visual and Computer improved the students reading comprehension each cycle. The first cycle was 83,33% and the second Cycle was 95, 83%.

The Massenrengpulu Traditional Songs of Enrekang Regency as one of Morale Education (supervised by Anshari and St SuwadaRimang) This research aimed to describe (1) the character of MassenrengpuluCommunity in lyrics of Masserengpulu Traditional Songs of Enrekang Regency. (The use of stylistic in lyrics of Masserengpulu Traditional Songs of Enrekang Regency. This research was descriptive. This research used of primary data that gained from the research subject of the Masserengpulu Traditional Songs of Enrekang Regency. The secondary data gained from the research supporting such as: literatures, internet, and the research about semiotic of lyrics in advance. The technique in collecting data used documentation, library study, and text analyzing. The analysis that used in this research was qualitative analysis. Research findings indicated that (1) the character of Massenrengpulucommunity in lyrics of Masserengpulu Traditional Songs of Enrekang Regency known as the community who uphold the moral value in their life. In moral dimension was found the values that same as the personal value of the human, it was simplicity, honesty and responsibility. (2) The lyrics of Masserengpulu Traditional Songs created by the writer by using self-style, likes: using hyperbola style, diction, metaphor, nonsense and personification. Writing style of Massenrengpulu songs used life condition, and cultural background of Masserengpulu Community.

MAS JAYA, 2012. The effects of teacher training toward the teachers ability in composing learning sets at the SMA Negeri 1 BontocaniKabupaten Bone.(supervised by M. Ide Said and Munirah) This research aimed to describe (1) the level of training and education of the teacher toward the teachers ability in composing learning sets at the SMA Negeri 1 BontocaniKabupatenBone. (2) The ability of the teachers in composing learning sets at the SMA Negeri 1 BontocaniKabupaten Bone. (3) The effects of teacher training toward the teachers ability in composing learning sets at the SMA Negeri 1 BontocaniKabupaten Bone. This research was designedby descriptive. The population was the Indonesian Teacher of SMA NegeriBontocaniKabupaten Bone with the 20 teachers where nine of females and twelve of males. The instrument used observation, questionnaire, and interview. The data analyzed by using descriptive technique and parametric analysis statistic with the double linear regression of SPSS 1,9 Version. Research findings indicated that (1) the level of training and education of the teacher toward the teachers ability in composing learning sets at the SMA Negeri 1 BontocaniKabupaten Bone categorized low (2) The ability of the teachers in composing learning sets at the SMA Negeri 1 BontocaniKabupaten Bone categorized good (3) it was not the effect of the teacher training toward the teachers ability in composing learning sets at the SMA Negeri 1 BontocaniKabupaten Bone. It means that, the ability of the teachers in composing learning sets at the SMA Negeri 1 BontocaniKabupaten Bone was not influenced by the training and education. But it was influenced by the competence that they got from the learning when they are in university.

ABSTRACT Gunawan. 2012. Warekkada (Idiom) in BugineseLiteratures: Semiotic study .Supervised by HM Ide Said and AndiSukriSyamsuri. This research aimed to describe the form of Warekkada (idiom) in Buginese literatures such as symbol form, symbol meaning, and symbol values. This research was descriptive research that used qualitative approach. Data sources were oral data gained from the informant and written data gained from script and research findings. Technique in collecting data used library study and field method. The findings showed that the form of (warekkada) idiom were in words form, phrases, sentences, and songs. The form of symbols was taken from the environment, animals, plants, human, things and the all items that related with the human life. The meaning of symbols in warekkada (idiom) were motivation, intelligence, honesty, responsibility, self-esteem, accuracy, cooperation, work together, and leadership. Educational values in warekkada were religious value, moral value, social value, cultural value, and philosophy of life. Based on the research findings, writer conveyed suggestions such as: (1) collecting warekkada (idiom) as one of buginese cultural heritage needs to be intensified in order maintained continuity. (2) The values of warekkada (idiom) should be introduced in schools as one of moral education. (3) Study about warekkada(idiom) should be improved and developed in order comprehend the moral value. Abstract Muhammad Dirham,2012. Improving the students ability to write poem through emotional learning system at the fifth grade students of SD InpresBatulappaKabupatenBarru (supervised by M. Ide Said DM and Munirah) This research aimed to describe planning, implementing, and assessing the improvement of the students to write poem at the fifth grade of SD InpresBatulappaKabupatenBarru through emotional learning system. This research was a classroom action research. The data of this research was the response of attitudes between the teacher and the students in the classroom interaction. The data sources were the teacher and the students of SD InpresBatulappaKabupatenBarru with the 19 students. The techniques of collecting data were (1) analyzing the data collected, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, and (4) data conclusion. Research findings indicated that (1) the planning of learning has been done well. The implementation of learning from the pre activity, main activity, and post activity can increase the students ability in writing poem at the fifth grade students of SD InpresBatulappaKabupatenBarru. Based on the data was gained that the score standardization of the students improved in first cycle. The number of the students was 14 with the percentage 73% and the second cycle consisted of 19 students with the percentage 94, 74 %. The students categorized very good was 18 and the students categorized good was 1 with the percentage 5, 26 %. The process of learning was running well in the classroom. In assessing of writing ability by using emotional learning system, the teacher used comprehensive assessment such as result assessment and process assessment. Further, it was suggested to the Indonesian teacher to use emotional learning system in writing poem.

Abstract SITTI NURHAWA,2012. The Improvement of reading comprehension through Know Want Learned Strategy at the fifth grade students of SMP Negeri 5 MandaiKabupatenMaros. This research aimed to describe the ability of the students to comprehend the reading text through Know Want Learned strategy. The ability was the main idea, factual sentence, and idea. The data of the research was the data of implementing is research was a classroom action research. The data of this research was Know Want Learned Strategy in learning reading and the dataofresult study of this research gained by observation, library study, and test. The instrument of the research was observation guidance, document analyzing, and test item. The data collected with interactive qualitative technique model and simple quantitative analysis. The implementation of Know Want Learned Strategy was done in four meetings in two steps. The steps were Know, Want, and learned. Research findings indicated that the implementation of Know Want Learned Strategy in learning reading comprehension can increase the students comprehension in finding the main idea, factual sentence, and idea in the reading text. The data of implementation of Know Want Learned Strategyin learning reading comprehension to find the main idea, factual sentence, and idea in the reading text gained from the score of Students activity, students worksheet, and comprehension test, it was good qualification.

Abstract Jumassiri ,2012.The improvement writing skillof descriptive paragraph by Using SAVI (Somatic-Auditory-Visual- Intellectual) at the ninth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tamalatea, Kabupaten Jeneponto. (supervised by Salam and Munirah). This research aimed to describe the implementation of SAVI (SomaticAuditory-Visual- Intellectual) method with song media in writing descriptive paragraph at the ninth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tamalatea, Kabupaten Jeneponto. This research was classroom action research. This research consisted of two cycles with four steps such as: planning, implementing, observation, and reflection. The subject of the research was the students of IX-2 class with 30 students. The techniques in collecting data was documentation, observation, interview, journal and text analysing. The research findings indicated that (1) the planning oflearning writing descriptive paragraph at the ninth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tamalatea, Kabupaten Jeneponto by Using SAVI (Somatic-Auditory-Visual- Intellectual) with song media was done by the teacher and the researcher in Lesson Plan form. In the second cycle, planning of learning was done by the teacher and resercher based on the Lesson Plan that they have made after reflection of learning. The diffrence of Lesson Plan between first cycle and second cycle can be seen in competence indicator, learnng objective, learning material, and learning activity. (2) the implementation of learning descriptive poaragraph writing after implementing SAVI with song media. The findings showed the students activeness. The first cycle was low of activeness in learning process. The activeness of the students in the first cycle about 60%-79% categorized good. In the second cycle, the all students was active in learning activity, and the students activeness in second cycle bacome 85%-100%, it categorized very good. (3) the learning evaluation in writing descriptive paragraph by using SAVI with song media was improved with the mean score of the students. In first cycle the mean score was 64,56 with fairly good and second cycle the mean score was 75,33 with good.

The conclusion of this research that the all teacher used the various learning method in teaching especially the use of song media to stimulate the students imagination in writing descriptive paragraph.

Abstract Hj. Rustinah ,2012. The ability of the students of Indonesian Language Departement of Garduated Program Unismuh Makassar to use Indonesian Language Standard. This research aimed to know the ability of the students of Graduated Program of Indonesian Language Department in using Indonesian Language Standard and to know the students ability in conserving and developing the Indonesian Language Standard in formal situation, an also to know how the students maintain the Indonesian Language Standard as language unity and language intermediate in education. This research was descriptive reseach that involving the systematic activity to get the answer of the problem. Descriptive research was the research that describing the condition of research object details and qualitatives. The subjects of the research was the students of Indonesian Languge Departments of Graduated Program of Unismuh Makassar. The data analysis indicated that the students of Indonesian Language Department of Graduated Program of Unismuh Makassar in using the standard of written and spoken laguage standardcategorized fairly good. Research findings cocsn concluded that the ability of the students of Indonesian Language Department of Graduated Program Of Unismuh Makassar in using Indonesian Language Standard indicated thatgood especially in written standard and the spoken tandard still low. And the result of this research has theoritic implication in improving the use of Indonesian Language Standard either learning activity or formal situation.

SITTI NURAENI, 2012. Stylistic Study in Buginese Song Collection of Ajatappareng. Thesis, Indonesian Language Department of Graduated Program of Unismuh Makassar (supervised by AndiSukriSyamsuri and Munirah) This research aimed to know the stylistic study in Buginese song collection of Ajatappareng with describing sound typical, diction, language style and song lyrics of Buginese Song ofAjatappareng. This research was qualitative descriptive. Data gained from the Buginese Song Lyrics of Ajatappareng that is collected from 1990 until 2006 create by H. Mustafa bande, Syam SR, and Yusuf Alamudi. Every writer was representative of tens songs. Technique in collecting data was archive, reading, and noting. Data analysis was corpus data selection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Research findings indicated that (1) the typical sound of Buginese song lyrics of Ajatappareng involved asonansi, alteration, consonance, and rhyme, (2) the aspect of word selection of Bugenese Song Lyrics of Ajatapparengwas poetic and esthetic with using sound effect in song lyrics, (3) the language style use simile, metaphor, personification, depersonification, antithesis, hyperbola, and repetition also aspect of value was eye contact, movement, hearing, smelling, taste. Abstract Jamaluddin,2012. Improving the Students Ability to Write Narration through Computer Based Learning of Drills Model at the Eighth Grade students of SMP Negeri 5 GantarangkabupatenBulukumba.(Supervised by Abd.Rahman Rahim and Munirah) This research aimed to describe planning, implementing, and evaluation of improvement of the students to write narration through Computer Based Learning of Drill Model at the eighth grade students of SMP 5 GantarangKabBulukumba. This research was a classroom action research that it was done in two cycle, they are; (1) planning; (2) implementation; (3) evaluation; and (4) reflection. The research subject was the eighth grade students of SMPN 5 GantarangKabupatenBulukumba with 32 students. The techniques of collecting data were (1) analyzing the data collected, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, and (4) data conclusion. Research findings indicated that (1) the process of writing narration paragraph was improved after implementing the Computer Based Learning of Drill Model at the Eighth grade students of SMPN 5 GantarangKabupatenBulukumba that showing the students activeness in learning process. Besides that, the implementation of Computer Based Learning of Drills Model can increased the students ability in writing narration paragraph by looking the mean score that gained from the first cycle with mean score 70, 75%. In the second cycle, there was the students did not get the standard of mean score about 65% so that it was the reflection to be continued in second cycle. Then the second cycle improved 76, 40%. That assessment was effort to maximize of assessment based on the syllabus assessment in learning narration paragraph writing.

PITHER,2012. Improving the quality of learning of poem appreciation through Reciprocal Teaching at the eighth grade students of SMPN 1 RindingalloKabupatenTorajaUtara . Thesis of Indonesian language department of graduated program of Unismuh Makassar (supervised by M. Ide Said DM and syafruddin) This research aimed to describe the learning of poem appreciation through reciprocal teaching at the eighth grade students of SMPN 1 TandingalloKabupatenToraja Utara. This research was a descriptive qualitative that designed by classroom action research. The data of this research was the ability of the teacher in teaching poem appreciation and the ability of the students to appreciate poem by using reciprocal strategy. The data was the process and outcome. The sources of process data comes from the teacher and the students during learning process. The sources of outcome data come from the result of test of poem appreciation. This research was done in second semester in academic year 2012/2013. The research procedure consisted of two cycles. Technique in collecting data was observation and test. Data analysis was quantitative and qualitative analysis. Research findings indicated that reciprocal learning strategy can increased the quality of learning poem appreciation and the ability to appreciate poem at the eighth grade students of SMPN 1 TandingalloKabupatenToraja Utara. The quality of learning in first cycle was categorized very low with the standard score reached75%, where only 56, 25% or 18 students passed. Then, in the second cycle was categorized high with the score reaching 81,25 or 26 students passed. Based on the research findings, it is suggested to the Indonesian teachers to apply the reciprocal teaching method. This term was declared that can increased the students outcome and the next researchers should be analyzed deeply of reciprocal teaching with different approach from this research so can increase the utilization of reciprocal teaching.

ABSTRACT Hajarti. 2012. Analyzing the Directive Utterences in Belenggu Novel Written by Armin. Thesis of Graduate Program Indonesian and Literature of Makassar MuhammadiyahUniversity . This research aimed at describing the form of directive utterances which was in novel of Belenggu written by Armin Pane with pragmatic study.That utterences have characteristic and pattern itself because it was influenced by social norm of speaker culture. It was very useful in increasing the theoretical knowledge and the practical directive utterances in novel whether directly or indirectly. The type of this research was library with qualitative descriptive that used pragmatic theory planning.As for the data of this research was sentence or paragraph that contained directive utterances. The data sources of this research was the novel of Belenggu written by Armin Pane that published by PT.Dian Rakyat of twenty-one printed 2008 The data analysis indicated that the directive utterances which found in novel of Belenggu written by Armin Pane consisted of three forms, they are; (1) imperative sentence, (2) interrogative sentence, (3) declarative sentence. The form of directive in utterances used, direction, suggestion, request, threat, advice. And command. The findings of this research have theoretic implication; it can increase the knowledge of utterances theory and the all terms of utterances, and also it has the practical implication; it can give the knowledge to all teachers, researcher, writer generally, and Indonesian language teacher specifically and the ability of communication learning.

Rahman and Munirah). This research aimed to explain the pragmatic approach in improving the students speaking skill at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 MakaleKabupatenTanaToraja. This research was classroom action research with two cycles that consisted four steps, they are; planning, implementing, observation, and reflection. The data source was the students X-3 class with the 32 students. The technique of collecting data was observation, test, and interview. The data collection was analyzed by descriptive technique. The research findings indicated that the planningof learning the improvement of the students speaking skill by using Pragmatic approach at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 MakaleKabupatenTanaToraja in first cycle was lesson plan (RPP). And the second cycle, the planning of learning was done after reflecting the learning of first cycle which done by the teacher and researcher. The learning application of speaking in conveying the personal experience with language use and expression increased after applying the pragmatic approach. It showed the students activeness and outcomes. The outcomes with test and speaking practice has increased the mean score 71 with the succeed percentage was 62, 50% in first cycle became the mean score 91, 12 with the succeed percentage was 93, 75 % in second cycle. From the description and discussion of research findings, so its gained the students outcome that the improvement of students speaking skill reached the score standard after applying the pragmatic research. Based on the data, it concluded that pragmatic approach has succeeded to improve the students speaking skill. Therefore, by this research was hoped to the teacher to apply the pragmatic approach especially in Indonesian subject for speaking skill. Abstract Syahrun,2012.The Use of Show and Tell Method to improve the students speaking Skill at the sixth grade students of SD KartikaWirabuana 1 Kota (supervised by HM Ide Said and A. Rahman). This research aimed to describe the learning of show and Tell method in increasing the speaking skill; to know the improvement of speaking skill of the sixth grade students of SD KartikaWirabuana 1 Kota Makassar. This research was classroom action research. The subject of the research was the sixth grade students of SD KartikaWirabuana 1 kecamatanMamajang Kota Makassar in academic year 2012/2013 with the number was 36 students; it consisted 36 students; 16 male students and 20 female students. The reason for selecting the subject based on the consideration that the ability level of impression speaking experience at the sixth grade students of SD Wirabuana 1 was categorized low, so it needed motivation and innovation in learning impression experience speaking. The research time was predicted for 3 month; from august until October 2012. The research findings indicated that the utilization of show and Tell method can increased the students participation in joining Indonesian language subject which the application needed twice meeting. The first meeting involved: first phase, conveying the objective and information; second phase, presenting the information; third phase, organizing the group of students and giving exercise. The second meeting involved: fourth phase, guiding the study group; fifth phase, evaluating and giving individual score and group score; sixth phase, indicating the successful of improvement the speaking ability at the sixth grade students of SD KartikaWirabuana 1 Kota Makassar. Show and Tell method that conducted like explanation beforeproved can improve the cognitive ability, affective and the students speaking skill ability in Indonesian language; activity development, creative and fun. There was the improvement of students outcome which showed the achievement process and outcome; there was the improvement of individual score and group score.

Abstract AndiNurmiati,2012.The Improvement of the ability to write exposition by using Picture and picture strategy at the sixth grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Makassar.Thesis of Graduate Program Indonesian and Literature of Makassar MuhammadiyahUniversity (supervised by HM Ide Said and AndiSukriSyamsuri). This research was classroom action research. This research aimed to describe the improvement of process and outcome of learning in writing exposition by using Picture and picture strategy at the sixth grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Makassar . The research data was the teacher and students assessment in assessing the students ability to write exposition paragraph towards the learningprocess and outcome. The data source of this research was a teacher of Indonesian language and the students of VIII-6 class with the number were 26 students. The technique was used to collect the data were; observation, documentation, and exercise. The data process of this research was analyzed by qualitative descriptive and the data of outcome was analyzed by descriptive quantitative technique. The research findings indicated that writing ability learning of exposition paragraph increased either learning process or outcome. The learning process in first cycle was less satisfactory and the situation of classroom was not conducive. The teacher did not do the learning process maximally, so there were students difficult to imagine the idea in writing exposition paragraph. The learning process in second cycle was more effective and satisfactory after reflecting the problem in first cycle. In the second cycle, the teacher conducted the learning process well. Yet, it was influenced the process of activity of the students in the classroom. In the second cycle the students more enthusiast and motivated in learning process, work together in group, and there was no difficulties in writing exposition paragraph. The score of outcome in writing exposition paragraph ability generally increased. The improvement showed from the mean score of the students overall in cycle I was 66,035 and the score in second cycle was 79, 96 with the improvement percentage was 13, 93%. The all aspect of assessment was very low in first cycle and increased to good category in second cycle.

Abstract Muhammad Hatta ,2012. The improvement of the Ability to Write Persuasive paragraph through advertisement Media at the eighth grade students of SMP Thridharma MKGR Makassar. (supervised by Andi Sukri Syamsuri and Munirah). This research aimed to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning of writing Persuasive paragraph through advertisement Media at the eighth grade students of SMP Thridharma MKGR Makassar. This research was Classroom Action research. This research was done for two cycles which consisted of four phase; planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research was done at the eighth grade students of SMP Tridharma MKGR Makassar with the 35 students. The technique in collecting data used observation and test. Technique of data analysis was descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The research findings indicated that (1) the planning of ability to write persuasive paragraph by using advertisement media consisted of; preparing lesson Plan, prepare learning model, designing observation and test. This planning was effective in improving the ability to write persuasive paragraph from the fairly category to the high category. (2) The learning process of writing was not satisfaction and the atmosphere class was not conducive. Based on the result of observation, the teacher did not apply the learning process maximally. There were the students found difficulties in writing persuasive paragraph. The students also could not develop the paragraph based on time period and event in narration. After reflecting the problem of first cycle so the process of second cycle was more effective and satisfaction. In the first cycle, the students were less of enthusiast in learning process, there were the students did not work together, and the student confused to write the persuasive paragraph and the second cycle was vice versa. (3) The students outcome in writing persuasive paragraph considered the assessment aspect such as content, organization, vocabulary, language use and standard language. The students score of organization aspect in first cycle was 09, 25 and it increased in second cycle with 88, 91. The students score of vocabulary aspect in first cycle was 64 and it increased in second cycle with 82, 42. The students score of language standard aspect in first cycle was 50, 87 and it increased in second cycle with 81, 14. It can be concluded that the students mean score increased from 65,17 in first cycle to 85, 51 in second cycle.

(2) The students outcome of Indonesian Language Subject at the fifth grade students of SD Balang Baru Makassar. (3) The effect between socio-economy life conditions of parents and the students outcome of Indonesian Language Subject at the fifth grade students of SD Balang Baru Makassar. This research was Ex-Post Facto with correlation form; this research analyzed the correlation between two variables where the condition socioeconomy of students parents and the students outcome of Indonesian language subject. The population of this research was the all fifth grade students of SD Balang Baru Makassar in academic year 2011/2012 with the number was 32 students. And the sample was 32 students. The technique of data analysis used regression analysis and T-Test that analyzed by software SPSS 15,0 for Windows Evaluation Vesion. The research findings indicated that (1) describe (1) The condition of socio-economy life of students parents at the fifth grade students of SD Balang Baru Makassar categorized average. (2) The students outcome of Indonesian Language Subject at the fifth grade students of SD Balang Baru Makassar also categorized average. (3) There were not the effect between socio-economy life conditions of parents and the students outcome of Indonesian Language Subject at the fifth grade students of SD Balang Baru Makassar.

Abstract Asis Nojeng ,2012. The effectiveness of Rodrigues and Badacsewzki Model in Short Story Appreciation Learning at the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Takalar (supervised by Muh. Rapi Tang and St. Aida Asis). This research aimed to prove the effectiveness of Rodrigues and Badacsewzki Model in Short Story Appreciation Learning at the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Takalar. This research design was experiment with true-experimental design of posttest-only control design. The population of the research was the all eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Takalar. It consisted of 124 students which divided into four classes. The sample of this research was grouped in two groups; the eleventh grade students of IPA 2 with 31 students as experiment class and the eleventh grade students of IPA 3 with 31 students as control class. The technique in taking the sample used cluster sampling. The technique in collecting data was writing test. Technique of data analysis used descriptive statistic technique. Based on the result of data descriptive analysis above could say that the mean score of post-test in experiment class higher than the mean score of post test in control class. It could see from the mean score of the students in experiment class was in the highest category with the score 8, 96 that it was in the interval score of 8,5-10. And the students ability in control class was in the average category with the interval score of 6,5 7,4. It could say that the application Rodrigues and Badacsewzki model was effective in short story appreciation learning at the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Takalar. The result of inferential analysis by using T-Test showed that the application Rodrigues and Badacsewzki model was effective in short story appreciation learning at the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Takalar. This term based on the result of T-count 12, 927 then it was compared with Ttable 2, 04 or T-count t-table that h0 was refused and h1 was accepted Based on the research findings, it suggested the teacher of Indonesian subject especially the teacher of SMA Negeri 3 Takalar can apply the Rodrigues and Badacsewzki model in Indonesian Subject learning generally and the short story appreciation especially because of this model was effective to improve the students outcome. Moreover, in learning process do not use only one learning model in teaching process but also they should used the innovative learning that could increase the students outcome.

This research aimed to describe (1) the outcome of reading narration by applying the Rodrigues and Badacsewzki at the fifth grade students of SDI Hartaco Makassar.(2) the effectiveness of the Application of Rodrigues and Badacsewzki in learning reading Narration at the fifth grade students of SDI Hartaco Makassar This research design was experiment with design of pre-test and posttest-o froup. The population of the research was the all students of VA class and VB class SDI Hartaco Makassar with the number was 50 students that divided into two classes they were VA and VB. The sample of this research was the class of VA with 25 students as experiment class and the class of VB with 25 students as control class. The technique in taking the sample used purpose random sampling. The technique in collecting data was writing test. The data was analyzed using descriptive inferential statistic with SPSS version 19. The research findings indicated that describe (1) the outcome of reading narration by applying the Rodrigues and Badacsewzki at the fifth grade students of SDI Hartaco Makassar categorized high and obtained the score standard. This term was said that the score of the students achieve the criteria; it was 100% or there were 25 students obtained the score 70 up. It was different from the students outcome without applying the Rodrigues and Badacsewzki categorized very low and did not obtain the score standard; it was 0% obtained 70% up. (2) The model of Rodrigues and Badacsewzki was effective to use in learning reading Narration at the fifth grade students of SDI Hartaco Makassar. The comparison the students outcome between experiment class and control class indicated that the score of T-count T-table. It meant that the hypothesis was proposed accepted.

The Utilization of Religious Comic Media to Improve the learning in writing Short Story at the ninth grade students of MTs Negeri Rantepao Tana Toraja Regency (supervised by Munirah and Andi Sukri Syamsuri). This research aimed to describe the planning of the utilization of religious comic media to improve the learning in writing short story at the ninth grade students of Mts Negeri Rantepao Tana Toraja Regency, described the implementation of the utilization of religious comic media to improve the learning in writing short story at the ninth grade students of Mts Negeri Rantepao Tana Toraja Regency, and described the evaluation of the utilization of religious comic media to improve the learning in writing short story at the ninth grade students of Mts Negeri Rantepao Tana Toraja Regency This research used Classrom Action Research Design. The research design consisted of acknowledgment, planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research data was the process data and the result of action that obtained from observation, interview, field note, and documentation. The data sources of the research gained from the teacher and the students learning in writing short story by using religious comic media at the ninth grade students of Mts Negeri Rantepao Tana Toraja Regency. The primary instrument of this research was the researcher herself that used the supporting instrument like observation guidance, interview guidance, field note guidance, and documentation. The planning could be improved by quoting the activities of the students and teacher in making lesson plan. The utilization of religious comic media in first meeting was getting idea, second meeting was writing, and third meeting was presenting. It was suggested to the Indonesian Language Teacher who have the same character of the students utilized this research findings as an action of religious comic utilization to write short story. It needed another research as learning continuity to improve the ability of the MTs students in writing short story in all level. It could improve the outcome of the students. The improvement of the ability to make interrogative sentence through Jeopardy Games at the fifth grade students of SDN No 13 Allu I Kecamatan Bangkala Jeneponto Regency (supervised by Andi Sukri Syamsuri and Munirah). This research aimed to improve the ability of the students to make interrogative sentence through Jeopardy Games at the fifth grade students of SDN No 13 Allu I Kecamatan Bangkala Jeneponto Regency. The research design was classroom action research. The research procedure was acknowledgment study, planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research data was process data and the result of action that gained from observation, interview, filed note, documentation, recording and written test of interrogative sentence. This research indicated that the test of first cycle only 9 students or 36% siswa obtained the score 65 and 16 students or 64 % categorized complete that obtained the score 65 with the mean score 64. The test of second cycle, 4 students or 16% students obtained the score 65 and 21 students or 84% students categorized complete with the score 65 with the mean score 82. The application of Jeopardi Games Model could improve the frequency of effectiveness and the activity in process of learning based on the observation of students attitude in first and second cycle. To improve the students ability in writing interrogative sentence, the teacher was hoped to apply Jeopardy Games Model as an alternative in learning Indonesian Language subject. This research aimed to improve the ability of the students to write argumentation text through constructivistic approach at the tenth grade students of SMAN Khusus Jeneponto. The research design was classroom action research. The research procedure was acknowledgment study, planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The technique in collecting data was observation, interview, filed note, documentation, recording and analysis test. This research indicated that (1) the planning of learning to write argumentation text through constructivistic approach at the tenth grade students of SMAN Khusus Jeneponto in first cycle was done by making lesson plan. In the second cycle, the implementation of learning based on the lesson plan that made by the researcher and teacher, (2) the implementation of learning to write argumentation text increased after doing constructivistic approach at the tenth grade students of SMAN Khusus Jeneponto was successful in writing argumentation text . It indicated with the students activeness increased during the learning process in every cycle In the first cycle, the mean score of the students was 63,7% with fairly , and in the second cycle the students mean score was 82,9%. In the first cycle, there were 15 or 50% students obtained the complete outcome or 65 students up. In the second cycle, the students outcome increased significantly from 30 students of the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri khusus Jeneponto obtained score 65 up. It meant that the application of constructivistic approach learning at the tenth grade students of SMAN Khusus Jeneponto was successful like the score standard of 85% or gained the score of KKM. To improve the students ability in writing argumentation text, the teacher was hoped to apply constructivistic approach as an alternative in learning Indonesian language subject.
