JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: Order Fulfillment Specialist DEPARTMENT: Food Bank or Service Center SUPERVISED BY: Distribution Center

or Service Center Manager SUPERVISES: No One STATUS: Non-exempt HOURS: M-F, 6:30 3:00, 40 hours per week, occasional overtime _______________________________________________________________________________ POSITION SUMMARY: Supports the warehouse operations by pulling orders for pickup and delivery, loading and unloading cargo, placing product in proper storage locations and utilizing inventory control programs as specified. Work safely following all DC policies and procedures.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Distribution Center Perform all duties in a safe manner, follow all safety rules as listed within the safety manual and comply with any additional supervisory communication relating to safety practices and procedures. Organize and maintain the product locations in the MFO and Cluster areas to adhere to A2H, OSHA and other regulatory directives to ensure product safety, sturdy order pallet building and safe worker practices. Audit orders filled from pick lists for accuracy and safe practices. Report findings to Distribution Center Manager Load and unload cargo. Maintain 100% safe floor conditions in all areas of the distribution center at all times. Perform warehouse duties to include: pull, fill, and load orders as needed to accomplish daily warehouse goals. Restock products as needed. Interact with inventory management system to maintain accurate product location information and maintain inventory integrity. Report discrepancies to Inventory Specialist. Provide outstanding customer service to any guests in the distribution center. Utilize designated inventory program to efficiently assist customers and confirm agency orders. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operation of the food bank warehouse. Follow safety regulations relating to OSHA or other company-related regulations. Handle food safely and complete food safety training within the first 6 months of employment. Maintain Food Safety Certification. Inspect product to be donated following food safety guidelines and refuse donations if the quality is poor. INVENTORY SYSTEM Utilize designated inventory program to efficiently track product location and inventory levels. Record all product moves with handheld or lift-mounted barcode reading terminals. QUALIFICATION / SKILLS Electric forklift and pallet jack experience Previous warehouse and inventory experience Ability to perform basic mathematics with strong spatial relations and conceptual capabilities Ability to adapt to varied work requirements and be flexible Ability to work cooperatively with other staff and agency representatives Tact and diplomacy in dealing with diversity Ability to both speak and write English Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision. High school graduate or equivalent

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to perform moderate to heavy physical labor (lift up to 50 lbs. regularly up to 6 ft. and/or overhead) Must be able to work in a regulated refrigerated environment (0 degrees or below) regularly and may be exposed to cold temperatures (0 degrees or below) Daily walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling (50 lbs.)
