If you enter -block at the Command prompt, Block Definition
dialog box opens.
1. In the Name text box, type the name of block.
2. Click the Select objects button in the Objects group and
then select object which you want to make a block.
3. In the Base point group, click the Pick Point button.
This option enables you to select a base point for the block
by using your cursor.
4. Click OK.
* Block is working in a drawing which is working now.
* Block is that when you modify it, all instances of that block are updated
to reflect the modifications.

To make effective use of AutoCAD, begin a symbol library of
drawings you use frequently. If you save drawings as symbols
and use them like rubber stamps, duplicating drawings, you can
draw objects more quickly and also save your time.
In this chapter, you will learn how to create symbols.
To save a drawing as a symbol, you use the Block tool.
In a files, you can turn parts of your drawing into blocks that
can be saved and recalled at any time.

2. Select the Convert to block in the Objects group.
3. In the Base point group, click the Pick Point button.

the File Name and select the folder AutoCAD_library in
your computer.

You can recall the furniture blocks at any time, as many as you
want. In this section, you will insert the furniture in your Hotel
unit drawing.

1. Type -insert or i at the command prompt to open the Insert
dialog box.
2. Click the Name drop-down list to display a list of the avail-
able blocks in the current drawing and click the block name
Bed_single.
