COURSE PURPOSE AND CONTENT
This course is designed for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons who wish to understand the incidence of sequelae in outpatient surgery. The attendees will learn to recognize the potential for VTE in a preoperative patient as well as recognize the most common organisms causing infections in the outpatient setting.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is primarily designed for plastic and reconstructive surgeons and residents.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course, participants will have understand the incidence of sequelae in outpatient surgery, be able to recognize pre-operatively the potential for VTE in their patients and be able to identify the most common organisms causing infections in the outpatient setting. Accreditation: The Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons is accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality/California Medical Association (IMQ/CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Credit Designation: The Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientic integrity of this CME activity. The Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons designates this educational activity for a maximum of two hours of Category 1 Credit (s) . Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This credit may also be applied to the CMA Certication in Continuing Medical Education. This activity is designed to comply with the requirements of California Assembly Bill 1195, Cultural and Linguistic Competency.
