Counsel; 21 Myrna: Hey Denise, I wanted you to help me on a question that a householder asked me this weekend in service, when would I be able to discuss this with you? Denise: Ok, that shouldnt be a problem, now is a good time, if you like. Myrna: They asked me what is so important about looking into bible predictions, in other words why should we be interested in them. Denise: Well Myrna Ill let the bible be foremost in helping with answering that question. As old as time we always used the bible as a tool and compass to set matters straight, whether its rearing a child, cleanliness or guidelines onto the path of righteousness and thus far it has not been wrong. Lets go to 2 Tim 3:16 (Denise) So what does the scripture emphasise? Myrna: Oh, this is saying that the scriptures are beneficial in all areas. Denise: Yes and it being beneficial, it is the first place we should look, to solve any problems we may have. Lets turn to another scripture, 2 Pet 1:19-21 (Myrna) This scripture is saying we should pay special attention to Jehovahs prophetic word because it is like a lamp which is like a beam that shows us the path on which we should go, one that leads to righteousness. Just like the prophets were led along by Holy Spirit we should use Gods word to guide us. We should not be afraid to do so because it comes straight from Jehovah.

Another scripture I wanted to show you is Matt 4:4(Myrna) What do you understand by this Myrna? Myrna: That we as human shouldnt live by physical food alone but spiritual as well. Denise: Yes you are correct; not only physical food or material wealth, but we should pay attention to the spiritual food from the bible. The physical food keeps our physical bodies healthy but the spiritual food keeps us spiritually healthy and alert. That is why the faithful slave publishes literature like the awake and watchtower to keep us abreast of how conditions in the world today, most of which

were foretold by the bible. All of these prophecies that are emphasised in the bible are all there to prepare us to keep on the watch daily. This leads us to our final scripture, Mat 24:42 This scripture reminds us to keep on the watch at all times, in other words we should not let our guard down. We should look at these prophecies as a warning to help us avoid falling into any traps or letting stumbling blocks get in our way so we are prepared. So Myrna do you think you have sufficient material to go ahead with answering the question.
