Clinton Democratic Club Ends The Year on a High Note


The Clinton Democratic Club held its Holiday Party on Wednesday, December 12 at Patrizias of Bayside. The festive atmosphere was topped off with the spirit of giving. A small mountain of toys was once again collected for FreeMAT (Freedom Medical Aid Team), an organization that collects toys for children who have parents from our area

currently serving our country. Councilman Peter F. Vallone, Jr., Candidate for Queens Borough President, outlined his distinguished career in public safety and community service as the cornerstones for his campaign. Also in attendance were Assemblymember-Elect Nily Rozic and AssemblymemberElect Ron Kim. Both thanked the Club for all their help in their hard fought victories and wished everyone a happy holiday. President Paul Vallone gave the Year-in-Review, distributed poinsettia plants to all, and told everyone to join him for a major announcement at his New Years Party on January 8 at Verdis. The Club also celebrated Hon. Peter Vallones 78th Birthday as well as Clinton Democratic Club Board Member Joe DiMartinos 75th Birthday. President Vallone also wished everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a healthy, blessed New Year.

Clinton Democratic Club Welcomes Candidates for Congress and State Senate
The Clinton Democratic Club held its monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 17 at the law offices of Vallone & Vallone. With Election Day less than three weeks away, Candidates for Congress and State Senate spoke to members and explained the importance of this years election. Congressman Steve Israel, whose Congressional District will now expand into Northeast Queens and is up for re-election, urged members to continue President Obamas messages from the October 16 debate and vote on November 6. He insisted winning the races is not just about politics, however, but for the futures of our children and the middle class. Officer ODonnell thanked the Club for their annual candy donations that are distributed to over 500 children on Halloween. NYC Dept. of Buildings Queens Liaison Anthony Iuliano gave an update on ongoing local community construction projects and engaged in a helpful question and answer session with members. The Clinton Democratic Club will not meet in November but will still run its annual food collection. Donations will be given to St. Vincent de Paul and St. Andrew Avellino Homeless Shelter. Kindly drop off all donations at the offices of Vallone & Vallone, located at 25-59 Francis Lewis Blvd., until November 16.

Clinton Democratic Club Kicks Off New Election Season


The Clinton Democratic Club held its first monthly meeting of the new season on Wednesday, September 19 at the law offices of Vallone & Vallone. The club has been chosen by President Obamas re-election campaign for local outreach and community input. Representatives Jenny Alcaide and Jonathan Eckman explained how our community is critical for President Obamas ReElection Campaign. The Clinton Democratic Club will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, October 17 at 7pm at the law offices of Vallone & Vallone.

MONTHLY MEETING HIGHLIGHTS January


The Clinton Democratic Club kicked off the new year with members meeting local civic leaders, who discussed general community concerns.

February
Members met with Councilman/Chair of the Consumer Affairs Committee Daniel Garodnick, New York Hospital Queens Community LiaisonDebra Pagano Cohen and Vice President for Physician Development Tom Evans as they discussed their roles in New York City.

March
The Clinton Democratic Club held its Installation of Board Members, which was conducted by Queens Parks Commissioner Dorothy Lewandowski. NYC Dept. of Sanitation Community Affairs Officer Ignazio Terranova also briefed members on the departments projects.

April
The Clinton Democratic Club was honored to have Former NYC Comptroller & Democratic Mayoral Candidate Bill Thompson as this months featured speaker. NYPD Community Affairs Officer Keith O Donnell also gave a presentation on cyberbullying.

June
The Clinton Democratic Club announced its endorsements of Grace Meng for Congress and Jerry Iannece for Assembly. Trips for Kids Metro NewYorks Andree Sanders also discussed her organizations initiative to give kids the opportunity to mountain bike in their neighborhood parks.
