2013 Little Miss/ Teen Miss/ Miss Dothan Pageant Saturday, March 9 2013, 5:00 p.m.

The Little Miss and Miss Dothan Pageants are preliminaries to the Little Miss and Miss National Peanut Festival Pageants. Eligibility: There is a $75.00 fee to enter. Miss Contestants must be between the ages of 17 and 21 as of October 1, 2013. Teen Miss Contestants must be between the ages of 13 and 16. Little Miss must be enrolled in first grade going into second grade for 2013-2014 school year.. Contestants must reside with legal guardian within the Police Jurisdiction of Dothan (Notarized form must be received with entry form) and attend school in Dothan or have attended school in Dothan. This includes private, public, and home schools. Contestants must be single, never married or have given birth. Contestants must submit one 3 x 5 black and white vertical bust shot for use in the program. Photos will be returned. Contestants must complete all forms and submit, with payment, to Saads Jewelers---Dogwood Court, Highway 231North, Dothan, AL-- by Saturday, February 23, 2013 by 5:00 p.m.. NO EXCEPTIONS! ALL checks should be made to Pilot Club of Dothan Winner of the 2013 Little Miss/Teen Miss/Miss Dothan Pageant must relinquish all other titles and not compete in any pageants during her reign.
Each contestant must submit a certificate of enrollment-attendance form from respective schools principal.

Judging Criteria: Miss Contestants will be judged in Interview (40%), Evening Gown (25%), Written Essay (25%) and Verbal (10%). Teen Miss Contestants will be judged in Interview (40%), Evening Gown (30%) and Stage Presence (30%). Little Miss Contestants will be judged in Interview (40%), Heirloom Dress (20%), Written Essay (20%), Stage Presence (20%). Photogenic is optional. There will be a photogenic award. However, this will not go toward the overall score. Those interested in competing in photogenic competition must submit a 5 x 7 black and white vertical bust shot. There will be a $25.00 fee to participate in photogenic. Photos will be returned. Practices: There will be two (2) MANDATORY practices which every contestant must attend. NO EXCEPTIONS! Sunday, February24, 2013, at Oz Dance Center at 2:00 p.m. (includes the Written Essay Competition for Little Miss and Miss Contestants). Final rehearsal and interview will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Dothan Civic Center. Interviews will begin at 8:00 a.m. No cell phones allowed during practices. Ad Sales: Each contestant is required to sell a minimum of $100 in ads for the Program Book. Deadline to submit ad copy and ad money to Saads Jewelers is Saturday February 23, 2013 by 5:00 p.m. Prices are as follows: Business Card $25 ( NO PHOTO), Quarter Page Ad $75, Half Page Ad $125, Full Page Ad $250.
