The Job Search Series Part III: Tips and Techniques on How to Network Effectively
This is a great opportunity to begin your job search as these professionals may have connections and information related to employment in your specialization. Networking is from 7pm-8pm, followed by a social from 8pm-9pm. Monday, February 4th (WPH 403) and Thursday, February 7th (SOS B40)

Literature Review 101


This seminar provides an overview of the types of lit reviews, including stand-alone reviews, and literature reviews as part of a larger assignment. We will discuss tips for getting started on the research process, ideas on sorting and organizing your results, and suggestions for synthesizing your data. All steps from topic selection to drafting will be covered. Tuesday, February 12th and Wednesday, February 13th 3:00pm-4:00pm in Leavey Auditorium

Preparing for Conferences: Learn How to Market Yourself and Master the Placement Exchange Process
Learn how to best prepare for the higher education regional and national conferences, as well as, the placement exchange process that takes place at these conferences. Wednesday, February 27th 12pm in WPH 403

The Job Search Series Part IV: From Tips to Practice (Interview Strategies & Mock Interviewing)
Practice your techniques by participating in mock interviews with professionals from your specific field. We will have alumni from the PASA, MFT, School Counseling and Educational Counseling programs conducting the mock interviews. This is a great opportunity to network and to hone your communication and relational skills during the interview process. Academic Writing Tips
