PROGRAMS

Our institute provides PGDM program which is designed in accordance to fulfil the dynamic requirements of the industry of different sectors. In PGDM program we include global case studies, assignments, presentations, industry visits, SIPs for developing a strategic approach so that the upcoming future managers can meet the diverse challenges of corporate world.

PROJECT

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility we have taken up a project to give admission to five under privileged students each year who cannot afford the costly management education.

CONSTRAINTS

As our institute is located in a remote area, we face a few problems which are: Cost of imparting education and other facilities is quiet high as compared to other players in our industry. At times, few companies hesitate to come down to our campus to hire students. Sometimes, it becomes difficult to hire good faculty in our campus to impart quality education to our students despite we offer them a lucrative package. No permanent faculty of our institute can indulge in any other teaching activities. For ex: he/she cannot associate with any other coaching institute/school/college as visiting or full time faculty. No student of our institute can remain outside the campus after 11pm. However, under emergency conditions, he/she may do so with the prior permission from the management, only after showing the duly signed letter by his/her parents. Capital Budgeting We keep some money for infrastructure development although we get help from our contacts at various industry houses for the same Some money is kept for purchase of new books and other source of information for our library. Operational Budgeting We keep some money for basic operational cost which is required for operations of our college. This includes Salaries to facultys and staff, operating cost for Mess & Hostel, Bill payments of facilities like Internet, Electricity, and Phone etc. We set this budget annually.

BOUNDARY CONDITIONS

BUDGETING

Some money is also kept for purchasing stationary which is very much required on daily basis for faculty & students. Reserve Budgeting We also keep some money as a reserve, which might be requiring for future activities. In case of any Contingency or emergency we use this reserve money. We keep separate bank account for this. As we have good amount of staff that is security staff, mess staff, housekeeping staff and Library staff on which we rely a lot on day to day activities so the absence of any of the staff member can create problem in the system, so we keep extra staff ready if in case any of the staff member dont come due to some reasons, we can have our system going without any interruptions.

CONTINGENCY PLAN

RATIONAL DECISION MAKING

Mr. Akash Singh (Head Admin) takes mess and security hiring decisions on the basis of following: Criteria- Invites quotation from various food vendors and security agencies and selects the best out of them by carefully analysing certain parameters, like- quality, cost and past experience. Weights- For each vendors (mess & security), we assign certain weights for these parameters so that we can get what we intend. We assign the maximum weight to quality aspect, then their past working experience in the same area and finally the cost. Decision- After analysing vendors on these parameters, the vendor with the highest summation of these weights, is given the contract.

EMOTIONAL DECISION MAKING

We had many options for our college website development and for placement consultants but we preferred our alumnis firm for these works and gave them the contract.

INTUITIVE DECISION MAKING

As we have experienced faculty, they select students not only by their test scores but also by Personal Interviews that is where their experience plays a major role. Our HR faculty who also has industrial experience take those interviews and we are getting

good students.

AVAILABILITY HEURISTICS

After first year of the students, we divide students into groups and assign them faculties so that if students want to take help on selecting their specialisation and their electives, they can do that.

REPRESENTATIVE HEURISTICS

As per our research, we found out that many institutes are offering Entrepreneurship as a course and students are getting benefitted with this. So, we have also introduced the same course and we are getting positive response. As suggested by one of our board members, we decided to set up a printing press in our college for in house publishing of college magazine, printing question papers and study materials. Later we learnt that getting all these stuff printed from other printing houses is less costly. But still, we are not dropping this plan and continuing it because we had made initial expenses and purchased the printers required. Moreover, in-house publishing helps us to get the work done on time because of the dedicated workforce. If anyone founded using unfair means in examination then decision to rusticate him/her will be taken. Student found not following the rules made by management; he/she will grounded or may be suspended for specific time limit. Final admission decisions in the course will be taken only after analysing the CAT score, essay and GD/PI. Grading will be awarded on relative basis means the student getting the highest marks will be awarded A+ and other will get grade accordingly. A decision is also made by management that necessary GPA should be maintained by every student for good academic standing.

ESCALATION OF COMMITMENT

PROGRAMMED DECISIONS

Some faculty leaves the college during course due to some reasons then management makes the decision how and from NON-PROGRAMMED where to arrange the faculty of same level. DECISIONS Institute increased its seats for course due to growing success of institute then management had taken the decision whether seats should be increased or not at that point of time. Due to increased seats management has taken decision to increase number of lecture hall and to make a new hostel for

accommodation of increased students. Viewing demand of students decision was taken to organize a picnic for all students.

SINGLE USE PLAN

A single use plan had been made for launching Post Graduate Programme in Entrepreneurship. Launching of this course is one time project which includes getting affiliation for this programme, construction of class rooms, arranging good faculty for the programme and making budget for the same.

STANDING PLAN

We have made a Standing Plan (ready-to-apply plan) for the operations of mess which is applied to ensure the proper functioning of mess before every meal. Therefore, before every meal, we have a plan before hand according to which every worker in the mess knows which task he has to perform like who has to perform dish washing, cooking, cutting vegetables, etc.

CONTROLLING

DESIRED PERFORMANCE (STANDARDS)

Desired performance of our institute is revised as per the standards required to achieve our goal. For this Our students are expected to perform excellently in academic fields like: Quiz, Mid-Terms and End-Terms. Apart from this, students are encouraged to take part actively in extra-curricular activities so that their overall personality of students develops. Minimum 50 % marks are expected from the students in every subjects. Our Faculty gives quality teaching to students, encourage them more for attending 100% lectures, making study interesting by using case studies and documentaries.

ACTUAL PERFORMANCE

Our faculties adopted new methods of teaching such as Case Studies, Presentations, Role plays, documentaries. Frequent sessions of one to one interactions with students are held. They try their best to meet the level of desired performance. Students performance is monitored on the basis of regular academic quiz, cold calling, attendance, presentations & group assignments. And results shown by them are improving with the passage of time. Faculties performance is measured by collecting feedback forms from students frequently. Students performance is measured by clubbing their Mid Terms results & End Term results & their performance in co-curricular activities.

MEASUREMENT OF ACTUAL PERFORMANCE

COMPARISON OF DESIRED PERFORMANCE WITH ACTUAL PERFORMANCE

We compare the desired performance with actual performance of our teachers. We compare their teaching methodology with the information provided by the students on the feedback forms. We compare the set standards for the result of the students with their actual performances in quizzes, class tests, presentations and exams. The students must secure at least 50% marks to qualify our marking standards.

IDENTIFICATION OF After comparing desired and actual performances of the faculties and the students, deviations are identified, if any. DEVIATION After identifying deviations, their root cause is searched. Then we try to eliminate the root causes and implement the corrections.

INHERENT FLUCTUATIONS

We analyse performance of students and those who are getting constant grades like constantly a student is getting B grade so we try to motivate him more so that they can improve more and can get constant B+ or A grade.

ASSIGNABLE FLUCTUATIONS

We analyse performance of students and those whose performance has degraded from the past we emphasise more on them and give them extra sessions for better understanding of the subjects. These fluctuations in marks of the students are out of our tolerance level.

IMPLEMENTATION OF CORRECTIONS

When faculty does not perform as per the desired performance, we give feedbacks to that faculty, take feedbacks from that faculty what went wrong , we send them on training and in future send them with reputed facultys to assist them in some lectures. Failing Students are given extra sessions and extra assignments on those subjects.

REVIEW MILESTONE

In middle of a trimester, that is, after 40 percent of lectures, we ask students to talk amongst themselves and find out what is lacking or what extra they need for understanding the subject or what is the understanding level they have. The same is then consulted with the subject faculty and they work on it.

PARADIGM

We provide council to those students who fails in exams so that their moral get down and the negative feeling of I am not fit for PGDM or any other negative feeling that comes towards their aim of fulfilling.
