National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence House of Commons Health Select Committee This report highlights the benefits of NICE extending its remit to cover social care. It comments on uncertainties on value-based pricing and the Cancer Drugs Fund, and makes recommendations for improvement. Other Health Technology Assessments Pragmatic cluster randomised trial of PhysioDirect telephone assessment and advice services for physiotherapy Salisbury, C et al. This report finds that providing physiotherapy via the PhysioDirect telemedicine service is equally clinically effective compared with usual waiting list-based care.
