Indirect exports is the process of exporting through domestically based export intermediary

Lijjat papad is not directly involved in exporting, but with the help of domestic merchant exporters, export orders are placed. After receiving full advance amount through cheque production for that export order is done. All the exports are done from Mumbai. Export production is of the same quality as daily production. In fact,
some of the daily production is also send for export. Again with exporters, responsibility ends with delivery. They just deliver the order to merchant exporters; further exporting is done by merchant exporter. Whole responsibility of exporting to other country remains with merchant exporter. They just have the responsibility of timely production of that export order and maintain its standard quality. And then deliver the order to merchant exporter. merchant exporters are, both, expected and encouraged to check the goods on collection. After that, where and how they export is their call. At present, 30 per cent to 35 per cent of the production of Lijjat Papad is being exported, mainly to countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, Singapore, Hong Kong and Holland.
