COMPANY INTRODUCTION ALBWARDY MARINE ENGINEERING LLC hereinafter referred to as AME has, since 1978, been providing a complete package of professional Ship Repair, Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, from their fully equipped shipyard facilities in Dubai at Al Jadaf and Dubai Maritime City; and Workshops in Fujairah & Salalah (Oman). Services include: SHIP REPAIR o Dry-docking for vessels o Voyage Repairs o Heavy Machining o Electrical & Hydraulic Services o Engine Overhauls o Riding Crews Worldwide o Hull Damage Repairs o Blasting & Painting o Deck Machinery, Pipework and Valve Repairs/Renewals o Propeller Repairs DIVING SERVICES Albwardy Diving Services (ADS) was founded in 1995 as a result of the increasing importance of vessel maintenance required outside dry-docking. Our highly trained divers are able to carry out detailed damage surveys enabling Hull cleaning, Propeller polishing, Anchor Recovery etc to be made. ADSs service is approved by the major classification societies. SHIPPING Albwardy Shipping Agency (ASA) is another subsidiary of AME. Its service include general shipping matters, crew changes, and clearing of crew through airports and onward travel arrangements. SPECIALIST SERVICES AME, in addition to its ship repair services offered, represents a number of reputed and well respected Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM)s and has the resource base to troubleshoot, instal, commission and maintain a number of specialist marine engineering products. NEW BUILDING AME, since 1997, has been building steel vessels for a number of established ship owners, not only for use within the Middle-East but also worldwide. The vessels that AME has and continue to construct range from Landing Craft to the latest model Cutter Suction Dredgers. Nowadays the design is supplied by DAMEN Shipyard. LOCATIONS In addition to the facilities at Al Jadaf and Dubai Maritime City, AME has satellite workshops in both the Emirate of Fujairah and Salalah, in the Sultanate of Oman. These workshops enable AME to provide a more comprehensive ship repair network covering some of the most visited ports and anchorages within the Middle East and additionally improve our response time to our customers. Further to those locations a new Shipyard is under construction at Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah. This new set-up will be called DAMEN SHIPYARDS SHARJAH Freezones (DSS FZE). Temporary works for Newbuilding and Afloat Repairs have been constructed and site shall be fully operational in 2013. PARTNERSHIP: AME and DAMEN SHIPYARDS GROUP joined hands in partnership with effect from January 2008. With more than 30 shipyards and related companies all over the world, DAMEN is involved in new construction as well as maintenance and repair activities. In addition, DAMEN provides a broad range of associated maritime services. DAMEN shipbuilding activities include a wide range of products, such as tugs, workboats, patrol craft, cargo vessels, dredgers and even mega yachts and fast ferries. Product design and engineering are carried out in-house (in DAMEN) and a broad range of designs is available.
