RE :UNIFICATION OF ROHINGYAS IN MALAYSIA WITH A VIEW TO

ASSIST THE MALAYSIAN GOVERNMENT AND THE UNHCR.

With reference to the above matter we are very much pleased to inform you that after
several negotiations among our Community who represent the seventeen( 17) townships
of Arakan, Myanmar, a historic meeting for Rohingyas from all over Malaysia was called
on the 15th January 2005 at the premises of ABIM. It was commonly understood by every
participant in the meeting that unification of Rohingyas has been one of your tireless
efforts and wish.This was the very basis for choosing the meeting venue at your
organization.

2.Among the several resolutions passed on that day, A Central Committee was established
beside instituting a SHURA (Consultative Body) to oversee and assist us in the cases of
such needs in nature.

3.All the assertive and active Rohingya organizations were invited and they have attended
to choose the office-bearers unanimously.

4.The essence, inter alia, of the meeting was that only this Central Committee formed
on this day would represent the Rohingya Community in Malaysia at all levels starting
with the Government of Malaysia , at the highest level, and the UNHCR and other
relevant authorities locally and Internationally.

5.ATTENDANCE

A. Full attendance of this meeting in being safe-guarded , kept in the custody of

under-ABIM-RIC, but it is unanimously estimated that more than two hundred
Rohingyas had attended.

B. GUEST OF HONOUR

En. SHIRAJUDIN SIRAT, the Manager of the Global Peace Mission Malaysia ,
delivered an opening speech and he had spoken widely while remindingly touching the
recent Tsunami tragedy around the Asian Continent .En.Shirajudin Sirat is contactable
