Admission Requirements for Diploma, Degree and Graduate Programs:

For certificate, diploma and degree programs we require: Secondary or high school transcripts with proof of graduation, subjects taken, and grades received English, and for most programs, math are required at the Grade 12 level For graduate certificate programs we require: College or university transcripts with proof of graduation, subjects taken, and grades received Resum outlining work/volunteer/internship experiences and letter of intent stating reason for applying

For English Language proficiency, we require: All applicants for whom English is a foreign language must provide proof of language proficiency. Acceptable language proficiency tests include: Georgian Colleges English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program with a GPA of 65 per cent or higher; Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) internet-based test: minimum 80 (Code: 9740); International English Language Testing Services (IELTS) Diploma/Certificate programs IELTS with 6.0 overall and no band below 5.5 Degree, Graduate IELTS with 6.5 overall and no band below 6.0 Bachelor of Science in Nursing with York University IELTS with overall of 7.0 and no band below 6.0, TOEFL 89 Pharmacy Technician IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 91 Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) 800

Admission Process:
Please ensure that you include a $100.00 CAD processing fee with your application. Applications that do not include the processing fee will not be processed. This fee does not apply to EAP/English language programs. 1. APPLY - Complete and mail or courier the Georgian College International Student Application Form. a. pplicants are urged to apply as early as possible to ensure that there is sufficient time to obtain a study permit. A b. February 1st is the equal consideration date for programs that start in September; however, applications are accepted all year round if space is available. DOCUMENTATION - Original or certified copies of English language test scores, academic records and any other documentation must be attached to the application. a. If language testing is in progress, please forward once results are received. b. Students who are not graduating until later in the year must send current transcripts along with mid-term grades. ACCEPTANCE a. Once a decision is reached, you or your representative will receive an email with a letter of acceptance (or refusal.) b. lease note that final/unconditional acceptance letters are emailed and/or sent by courier while conditional letters are only P sent by email. A final/unconditional letter will be sent once all admission requirements are met. c. tudents who receive a conditional acceptance must submit the required documentation by May 1st to receive a final S acceptance. DEPOSIT - Full tuition fees or a minimum deposit of $1,000.00 CAD are due by June 1st for September start dates and October 1st for January start dates to guarantee your place in the program. a. There is a $500 administrative fee for withdrawals. STUDY PERMIT / VISA - Once you have an acceptance letter and tuition receipt, you may apply for a study permit / student visa from the Canadian Embassy or Consulate.
