SOCCER..........is the game which makes entire world


to stand on its toes. It is more than just a game and had been a fashion sport for many youngsters right from the ages ago. But isnt it too boring to watch it on TV always??????????

Here is an event for all soccer fans to challenge among the technofreaks. Bring up your soccer skills through your robot by making it aim, shoot, score goals by setting new and interesting rules.

Problem statement:
Design a wired or wireless robot that can play a game of soccer which may include dribbling, kicking (shooting) or both.

Specifications:

Robot: The robot should fit in a box of dimensions 400mm*250mm*200mm. Power supply must be on board. The potential difference between any two terminals should not exceed12v. Field: Length: 300cm Breadth: 150cm Goal length: 60cm Goal height:25cm
Ball: The balls used are standard table tennis balls of 40mm diameter throughout the course of the game.

Event Format:
Qualifying round: It gets started with 5 balls placed at different positions (positions might not be same as shown in figure). Bot may be placed anywhere in the arena.

Bot should kick/shoot the balls into the prescribed goal

. One should not dribble the ball into the goal. (this round is meant exclusively for testing bots kicking mechanism). Tyres of the robot should not move while shooting the ball. The bots will be qualified for the next round based on number of goals scored within the specific time.
Round 2:

Here only one ball is placed in the arena in the green zone shown in the figure.

Now the bot should dribble the ball through the mazes shown in the figure.

As soon as the bot starts dribbling the ball doors of the goal starts closing simultaneously. Bot should make a goal before the door gets completely closed. Bot should not cross the d-line which is 75cm away from the goal. If the door gets closed before scoring the goal, the bot is disqualified. 4 bots are qualified for the final round based on the minimum time the bot takes to score a goal.
Final Round:

This is a final one on one game.

Here Bot1 tries to make a goal while the opponent Bot2 which is in front of the goal tries to stop it. The Bot1 trying to make goal should not enter the line which is 75cm away from the goal. The Bot2 defending the goal should not come out of the same line. After the goal is scored, positions are interchanged. Now Bot1 defends and Bot2 attacks. Bot which takes minimum time is the winner. General Rules: Bot should not damage the arena. Should not lift the ball at any point of the game. Should not use any mechanisms which damage the opponents robot. Should not use any liquid or gas jets to push the ball into the goal. Batteries will not be supplied. Maximum of 3 members per team are allowed. For further details:
