will not receive Masonic Funeral Rites unless specifically
requested by your loved ones. Please inform your family of
your request. All too often, after the funeral, a Lodge is
asked why Masonic Rites were not performed dont place
your family or Lodge in this position. The Masonic Digest also
requires the members be in good standing!

From the East

Greetings, Brothers,
Well, January is passing us by and February is soon on its way.
I would like to thank all the Brothers for getting off to a great
start this year. We have had a great first practice and a great
first meeting. Thank you, Brothers, for all the hard work and
lets keep it going to have a wonderful year.

Upon receiving this Trestleboard we will have already
had our first E.A. Degree and some new Brothers to teach
and mold in masonry. With new Brothers comes a lot of
responsibility, but also a lot of fun. Without these new
Brothers our Lodges cannot grow, so lets make them feel
welcome and well, like Brothers.

We also had our first Spaghetti Dinner of the year and I
would like to thank Worshipful Andy Kip for all his hard
work to make it a success. The Spaghetti Dinner for Feb.
will be a Valentine Day theme so everyone bring your
loved ones for some good food and fellowship. This event
has become a good time for friendship and brotherhood.

On Feb. 9th at 8:00 am we will be having a pancake breakfast
followed by a M.M. Degree at 9:00 am. There will be a lot of
Brothers from all over the district coming to help us with this
degree and I would like to take this time to thank them for
their help. It is so nice to have the support of other Lodges
in times of need, which is why I beg the Brothers of Lodge
91 to get out and visit the other Lodges out there. Everyone
please come out to the degree as it is very important to
support these newly raised Brothers.

Brothers, this year I am going to be trying something new
by emailing the Trestleboard out to people. We are not going
to stop mailing out the hard copies, but it has come to my
attention that some people would prefer an email. Brother
Brian Brink will be taking this on for me and we will be
getting with everyone to make sure we have those that are
interested their email addresses.

Speaking of the Trestleboard, it is past time for those of
you that have ads to renew if you so wish. If you do wish
to continue to support the Lodge and advertise with us, get
with me to pay for your renewal. Anyone who wishes to
start a new add or knows someone who might, this is a very
inexpensive way to advertise your business to the Brothers
and helps support the Lodge.
Just a few more things I would like to go over that will be
happening in the month of Feb.

We will be having a work day at the Lodge on Feb. 2nd
from 8:00 am to around noon. We will be picking up
leaves, so everyone bring your rakes and plenty of
energy. I will supply donuts and orange juice
for breakfast.

On this day there will also be a child ID workshop from
10:00 am to 3:30 pm at Hunt Fountain Park off of Duff Rd
in N Lakeland. This event will be held for the N Lakeland
Youth Football League and about 400 kids will be there.
Worshipful Matt Barwick has taken on the child ID
program for this year and is asking for help. If you can and
are willing to help with this great program, please contact
Matt at (863) 528-1504.

The Detroit Tigers Spring Training baseball games at Tiger
Town will also be starting soon and Brothers this is
a great way to earn money for our Lodge. I have a
schedule for the games and times. If you would like to
work a concession stand for this event please contact
me with the dates and times you can attend. Its a lot
of hard work, but also some great fun.
