Taking the Art Museum system in our institute as the database environment, there are the following observations

and descriptions related to it:

THE DATABASE ENVIRONMENT: This system deals with the installation of the new artwork pieces that are brought into the museum and the registration of the artist that based within or visiting the museum. Besides that, it also keeps track of the attendance details of the museum, location of the various pieces of artwork, a detailed list of current artist, a list of visiting artist, and a list of artwork and pieces that the museum has. Also this system is maintained for faculties who have the ability to check their timetables, artist details, artwork updating, attendance details and many more features. In short, this system stores all the necessary information regarding each artist of the museum. Only an artist and other admin support can use the systems database if he or she has got the username and a password to access it. So the system is password protected and is a secure system. Every user type has his or her own limitations. Security is a plus, when using a database where many users will be accessing the system. There will be a sit standard has to what a user can and can not do based on what their position is on the database.

PROBLEMS AND CONSTRAINTS: This system is very efficient but the rights that are allotted to different users results in some problems which are inevitable and require the help of a user type with more and better rights. For example, when registration for a event in the museum is done before a desired date, it comes up with some errors due to which the faculty is unable to rectify it at his own level. This requires the help of a user who has better access to the system rights. With in the admin users will have a higher access level to the database to change and fix problems when they occur. The basic user, which will be the artist that has artwork in the museum, will have only a limited access. This user will be able to add new artwork to the system and setup their user preferences. Once artwork is enter, the faculty user will be alerted once new piece are available. There will be a list of available open spaces in the museum as to where that artwork will be placed. Some other problems that may exist if artwork is removed and is not enter into the database location will not be updated and causing problems. The admen user will have to setup time tables and events to check on updating and keeping a current list of open space in the museum.
