POWERGRID, Northern Region Transmission System-II requires young and dynamic individuals for its project of laying Optical Fiber under National Optic Fiber Network (NOFN) project for connecting Gram Panchayats in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The appointments shall be made purely on contractual basis. The candidate should have one year post qualification experience in Design/Engineering of optical fiber network, adequate experience of construction,testing and commissioning, operation and maintenance activities of optical fiber networks system (SDH/DWDM/G-PON/MPLs etc.). Experience in PSU/listed Company particularly in Telecom sector shall be preferred. JOB DESCRIPTION
Design, construction, testing and commissioning, operation of Optical Fiber network systems(SDH/DWDM/G-PON/MPLs etc.) in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Any other related work assigned to individual from time to time.

SELECTION PROCESS
1. Selection will involve Personal interview of the eligible candidates. However, a 1 hour objective type screening test may also be conducted, if required. 2. Screening test, if conducted, shall be for elimination purpose only and shall not have any weightage in final merit which shall be drawn purely on the basis of performance in the personal interview. The details of screening test shall be intimated separately to the eligible candidates. 3. The Offer of Appointment shall be issued to the suitable candidates on the basis of merit and based on requirement. Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their medical fitness as per the companys prescribed standards. 4. Applicants should have sound health. Squint and Color Blindness (partial or full) is a disqualification. No relaxation in POWERGRID Medical Norms is allowed. 5. The Management reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards/criteria and /or to conduct a screening test, if so required.

RELAXATIONS AND CONCESSIONS

IMPORTANT TERMS & CONDITIONS

The engagement of personnel is purely temporary in nature and on contact basis for a period of 2 years or completion of the project, whichever is earlier. The contractual engagement will automatically end on expiry of 2 years or completion of the project, whichever is earlier and the appointed persons will have no right or claim to continue with POWERGRID beyond the stipulated period of engagement or to seek regular employment in POWERGRID. The contractual engagement will be regulated by Companys rules and administrative orders that may be enforced from time to time during the period of engagement.
