Commentary: City of Stockbridge McDonough Matters Obamas Executive Actions And so it begins . . . Trouble for Conservatives

Executive Orders, New York laws... sure Obama can instruct federal enforcement of non-existent laws. And the fruitcakes in new York can pass laws. How long before the Constitutional challenges begin? SCOTUS already ruled the 2nd Amendment DOES apply to personal, individual gun ownership. Laws and Orders restricting the type of gun or ammunition is tantamount to violating both the Constitution and the SCOTUS ruling. ~ The Henry Citizen Governor Andrew Cuomo is trying to lead the nation in gun control, but hes picked a peculiar way of doing it, New York Times editor Andrew Rosenthal opines. [Click here.] Mr. Cuomo negotiated in secret with a few other powerful politicians on a dogs breakfast of legislation that got no public discussion at all and was passed by state senators who had not even read itbecause they were not given a chance to do so. Shhh. The next thing you know theyll want to read the Constitution. The resulting bill is hard to judge on the merits. Its a snarl of good ideas, strange ideas and ideas that seem quite bad. While some items should figure into federal gun control legislation, Washington should not take New York as an example of how to go about this difficult business. Ya think? He thinks . . . Nothing about New Yorkers Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms, of course. Just bitching and moaning about the mental health reporting requirement. But Rosenthals queasiness about the bill oozes out of every pixel (or something like that).
I hope, moreover, that the authors took into account the Constitutions rules on search and seizure because the anti-gun-control crowd is already feeding off paranoia about confiscation ... Neither Mr. Obama nor Mr. Cuomo is getting ready to raid the homes of law-abiding citizens. Still, passing confusing legislation in the dead of night without public discussion is not a great way to prove that.
In other words, Rosenthal can hear the proverbial knock on the door in the middle of the night.

In a sign of how brutal, emotional and deeply personal the coming battle over gun violence is likely to be, the National Rifle Association on Tuesday accused President Barack Obama of hypocrisy for having Secret Service protect his daughters even as he opposes the group's call for armed guards in schools. The WEB VIDEO, first obtained by THE BLAZE, opens with a narrator asking, Are the presidents kids more important than yours? Then why is he skeptical about putting armed security in our schools when his kids are protected by armed guards at their school? The 35-second video makes no effort to hide the tension and animosity between the NRA and Obama, even stepping into the recent "fiscal cliff" debate. The video continues: Mr. Obama demands that the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes but hes just another elitist hypocrite when it comes to a fair share of security, as an altered image of the president peers over a stack of dollar bills, followed by images of Meet the Press host DAVID GREGORY, California Sen. DIANNE FEINSTEIN, New York City Mayor MICHAEL BLOOMBERG and Vice President JOE BIDEN. A White House official declined to comment on the video. However, spokesman Jay Carney did announce that OBAMA WOULD OUTLINE HIS ADMINISTRATIONS PLAN TO ADDRESS GUN VIOLENCE on Wednesday.
than $100 thousand sign saying welcome to Eagles Landing put up instead of promoting real help to the people. If the people who live in the Eagles Landing area want a sign let them put it up themselves. Until all the smoke and mirrors cease in the government of Stockbridge nothing will change. The faces may change but the problems remain. Think of this: The people of the city can use a Boys and Girls Club and a Senior Center and the council bought the old bank building for $635,000 and will have to have an additional $250,000 to convert the building. Remember in December 2011 the council bought the old florist for a mere $425,000. And it has come from direct sources that the city is in talks about buying some of the First Baptist Church property. The property is valued at around $185,000 and the Church is wanting nearly $500,000 and will likely get close to that figure. A lot of money being spent in a short time frame. The old fire house in Stockbridge would have made nice Boys and Girls Center and the Seniors could have been meeting in the Merle Manders Building. How much of this nearly $2 million mentioned above would have gone toward those sidewalks on South Berry Street and other needed improvements. But the city must take care of the former bank property owners, the old florist owners, and the church. The Municipal Court building is still leaking and looks at the work that was done on the building before they moved in. Again conservative ideas yes, but realization, no.

Kentucky Sheriff to Obama: No Gun Control in My County Wyoming Threatens Arrests for Federal Gun Grabbers Oregon Sheriff tells Biden he'll refuse to enforce unconstitutional gun laws Missouri Bill Proposes Jail Time for Feds Violating the 2nd Amendment Texas AG threatens Double-Barrel Law Suit Georgia Congressman Westmoreland Stands Firm on Second Amendment Rights Second GOP congressman suggests impeachment over executive action for gun control
It is one of those times in our history, we are at this breaking point, Florida Republican Trey Radel added, going to explain, We have completely lost our checks and balances in this country, the Congress needs to hold the president accountable for the decisions that hes making right now, and that why again, I would say that all options should be on the table.

JIM BRIDENSTINE MAY GET A PRIMARY CHALLENGE. You may not know who he is, but Jim Bridenstine is a brand new member of Congress, a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy Reserves, a fighter pilot from the Iraq and Afghan Wars, and a strong fiscal conservative. He should be a hero to any and all Republicans. Hes a genuine bad ass. And on Day 1, he decided not to vote for John Boehner for Speaker. Bridenstine is happy to play on the team, but unhappy to go along to get alone when we are looking at $16 trillion in debt. His office is silent, but friends of his in Congress say the House Republican Leaders already have him on a list of incumbents they may just want to do away with. BUT HE IS EXACTLY THE TYPE OF GUY WE NEED IN CONGRESS. This presents a problem for House conservatives. There are more and more signs that the GOP Establishment intends 2014 as an election season to seek revenge on conservatives. Conservatives are going to have to hang together or they will absolutely hang separately. Enough of them, however, have now been outed that they, like Bridenstine, could be marked men. The only solution for them is going to have to be to come out of the shadows and make their voices heard from the back bench. If they will not have the support of the leadership, they must support each other.
